You're awesome.

I've never heard of this scenario before so I previewed a few levels. The netmaps seem worth checking out.

Re: Apotheosis X – A total conversion for Marathon Infinity – Release thread

One player projectile I really don't like is the railgun, railgun? The charge-up sniper weapon. It's a split dual-round projectile that just doesn't seem to go where I need them to go in relation to the minimalist targeting reticle. I don't like it. The railgun is good for clearing out a line of en...

Re: Apotheosis X – A total conversion for Marathon Infinity – Release thread

Thank you! If you happen to remember which elevator you encountered the smearing on, I'll put it on the list to fix. Crashes are interesting, I've had a few other reports. Just doing the boilerplate check here and making sure you're on Aleph One 1.5? I checked and confirmed that I am up to date usi...

This is wonderful! I played through on "Normal" this past weekend and now I'll play through again more carefully to uncover and appreciate more of what this gem has to offer. You guys are incredibly talented. This scenario needs recognition. What you've done with the map design and enemy p...

Marathon 2 AMP!

Marathon 2 AMP! is a reworking of visuals and gameplay to emphasize the boost in action without deviating from familiarity. This has been developed specifically for the Marathon 2 scenario to bring about another option of play for this excellent scenario. http://simplici7y.com/items/marathon-2-amp h...

Re: Looking for Yota Saga

Years ago I was going through the archives and came across this beauty. I pulled it all together into one convenient .zip file. If I am missing anything please let me know and I'll update the .zip file. I am aware that the author wanted to make alterations before releasing the collection but as far ...

Re: Pump Action Shotgun Patch

I was looking at this patch of mine and I couldn't get it to work. I went ahead and uploaded a patched Infinity Shapes file to replace the questionable patch. I also made a couple extra tweaks to this modification in the direction I wanted it to go. I would like to see about using MML to adjust how ...

Re: Project Conflict

I converted the map Pfhactory N'Utopia to work with this project. The original Pfhactory for M1 was one of my favorites that I tinkered with a lot learning about modding Marathon. I was happy to see an updated and standalone Infinity version and thought this may be just what I'd like to have include...

What I liked about Infinity wasn't the unintended sequel story or the quality map designs. What I liked about Infinity was the additional content and tools included. It's not that I don't appreciate the quality that Infinity was. Maybe by that time I had outgrown the same interests which kept me fro...

I'm going to try and succinctly lay out my opinion. You appear to be in a downward spiral that includes failing to meet your expectations and beating yourself up over it. This tells me you do not know how to take the necessary steps towards success. I advise you take time away from any project hobbi...

What may be so obvious to some ( or many ) Marathon players is the history of "vidmaster." Not me. I couldn't for the life of me recall where I had first become aware of it. Maybe it was some random FAQ online or possibly on my Marathon CD in the extras folder. I decided to look through th...

Personally, I find that tactic to be extremely unsporting. It feels like cheating I think taking advantage of coded behavior isn't cheating. It comes down to expectations and play style. It could be argued that cheesing takes away from the developer's grand intentions. I see the player's experience...

I enjoy reading this thread. It is a pleasure to rediscover the levels by description. I think For Carnage, Apply Within is a good example why some players dislike the Marathon 2 alien texture set thanks to its level design.

There is that one S'pht terminal to find as a reward for exploring - possibly the only message we ever read from an enslaved S'pht - and an early alien weapon. If you play on co-op, there's even a rocket launcher! Here's the website to the terminals on that level : http://marathon.bungie.org/story/...
