Marathon Aeon question

decided to give this a try. Got to "The Rise and Fall of Dugit" and barely made it to the the end. Read the terminal message, and. Crash. I've tried using the choose your own level code to go to Level 7 "Asphodel Meadows", but it just doesn't wanna work. I know, it's a beta.... s...

Re: not my day-not Aleph One's day either

thanks $lave, got it workin' okay now. Apparently, I used to have Aleph One up n' running a long time ago, and the Prefs folder was still under application Support in the Library (I'll bet you thought it was Professor Plum in the Drawing Room with the Lead Pipe, but not quite....) So, after I found ...

not my day-not Aleph One's day either

OK, decided to get Aleph One up and going, just to give Xmas submarine and Starship a try. A few days ago, Xmas sub (goran's scenario) was working fine. Then Aleph One crashed. Okay, threw out Aleph One, kept the scenario, threw out the Marathon 2 data files, grabbed another copy of Aleph one ( both...

Re: Zero Population Count

so many memories ! tried the Mac OS X port and it started up fine, played okay for a while until it got to the cut scene (finish of Permashed Potatoes) where you see Arman on an elephant blasting through stone, then it seemed to get stuck on a permanent loop, at least it sounded that way. I tried to...

thanks for porting it-it works okay--I guess it's the best I can hope for under the circumstances. However, how I go tinkering under the hood with the DirectDrawRenderer stuff ?(software\wine\direct3d) I'm running your port on OS X, and I don't know what I'm doing, so any help is appreciated. Oh, an...

Ahhh..right...thanks.... Hm...on further looking I found that M:Phoenix has intro music and whole bunch of other music files, all of which I have no idea how to play in-game. Marathon's original music works fine though....and....where to put the mp3's so that they'll be recognized and work...do I ha...

maybe teasing? I dunno. I'm working my way through Roquefortress (fairly hard) when I can see a skull in a little room, with some ammo and a door that doesn't open..... there's only one switch in the entire place and I don't think it opens that door. If it did, and by turning it off I locked myself ...

What music file are you trying to play? Phoenix most likely has MML specifying the name of the intro music file. You will need to match that, or edit the MML. thanks, Treellama-it's the one that came with Marathon Infinity, I think. I don't know how to match that, or edit the MML, but I wouldn't mi...
