Re: Couple of sketches
Looking good! I especially like what can be seen of the Security Officer's expression in the first one.

Re: Couple of sketches
This Juggernaut's more organic-looking than most interpretations I've seen; are you just basing this off of M1, or do you figure that the M2/Infinity Juggs have organic components, too?

Re: Assorted Rubicon theorizing
D'oh. :|
In that case...yeah, I think Thoth might attempt that if not kept in check (or provoked by humanity doing very bad things and becoming too much like the Pfhor, maybe).
Thothandal didn't seem to be that obsessed with balance, though--at least from what relatively little we got to see of him.

Re: Assorted Rubicon theorizing
I can at least understand why, to acknowledge the Thoth-Durandal AI is to acknowledge that the Player is a mass murderer that does whatever authority tells him to do without question or protest. Didn't the Trilogy want you to question whether this was really the case or not long before Durandal and...

Re: Assorted Rubicon theorizing
Admittedly, this might be my biases showing, but I'm not so sure Durandal would do that, at least not to keep the humans in line (maybe as a last resort to save them from even worse casualties). I could definitely see Thoth assuming the worst of his intentions/ability to keep Achilles secret, though.

Sadly, the only things I could provide (art, writing, maybe level outlines) have probably already been taken care of...
How many things would WMaiD need to be playable? Are all the levels technically complete and in need of testing, or are there still a few left to go?

Re: Assorted Rubicon theorizing
Speaking of dourness--I know that Durandal's intentions for the Achilles virus at the end of the Salinger Plank are pretty ambiguous, but I personally suspect that he didn't actually want to use it against humanity. Going back to M2, while he does consider humans to be slow, stupid, and irritating, ...

Re: Assorted Rubicon theorizing
I want theories as to why anyone would want their stories to conclude with the events of Rubicon. Because of its strong narrative and sense of conclusion, I suppose? May also have to do with continuing on from M2, rather than Infinity. Someone may be able to word this better than I can. (I like Ete...

Mostly reposts from elsewhere for the moment. * What actually became of Haller? Tycho says on "Hairy Legs" that the ship that Durandal had you send Haller to, the UESC Triumph , doesn't exist, and you in fact helped Durandal do a bad thing. However--remember the seventh terminal back on &q...

This is the first time of hearing of these two scenarios. Is there anything specifically notable besides their Japanese terminals that you could share? Hm...When I asked Logue about JP scenarios, he told me that Marathon Forever and Leopard's Eye (unrelated to the KCK series) were the most popular/...

Marathon Ka-co-kh, translated
DISCLAIMER: Due to my limited knowledge of Japanese and lack of input from the dev team (and thus no context for some things, especially in the fourth installment), I would advise against taking these as definitive; more of a rough guide for the events as I understood them. (I also didn't realize t...

Re: A fourth Marathon??
But it does raise an interesting question of what any future Marathon game would look like given the radical evolution in tech since the days of Quadras and M1. What would Bungie do? Not related to gameplay or presentation, but I'd like it if Bungie went back to their unused plans and concepts for ...

We haven't seen a wall of text from you in a long time though, Pfhorrest. Persuade him to check out Pfh'Joueur if he hasn't already; he might be able to get some mileage out of that. (also--yo guys, go leave some comments/observations in my art thread, if you have any; I don't want to eventually be...

Re: The Stupid Questions Thread.
Unrelated: did anyone happen to save Phobos-Romulus's old pic of the Marathon AIs (the one where they're all floating heads a la our brief glimpse of Durandal's avatar in M1)? I asked him about it a while ago and even he couldn't find it again.

RADIX's art stuff
Mostly cross-posting from dA, with additional commentary. Something of note: most of my art has to do with this AU of mine (the Inmortalitas 'verse) that continues directly from M2. Durandal and the Security Officer (Vince) met shortly before M1, and android vessels for AIs are commonplace. Canon Tr...

Heyo, I'm RADIX (aka Gonzo). Discovered Marathon in '08, came back to it in mid-2015; I've also been lurking here for a while. I think my artwork currently makes up at least 70% of the Marathon art on dA. :U I like to blather about third-party scenarios (mostly on me blog, and mostly about Rubicon) ...
