DO WANT! Does the Aleph One engine actually support vehicle/turret entering? The closest thing I can think of would be to change the rider's sprite, weapon behavior, speed, health/damage, etc.

The ghosts are not yet rideable - but I can try to add turrets if you like - I might be able to use the Warthog sprite as a turrent graphic then.
There's a physics model in Halathon that simulates a Ghosts driving behaviour - it allows you to play a specific map as a ghost so to speak but it doesn't support entering and exiting the machine during gameplay ofc. My scripting/lua skills are pretty much nonexistent so if I can't find some kind of workaround it won't be supported I'm afraid.


PS: I've worked on some corridors today and added the XBLA enemies to the game - here're some screenshots:

Cool, much appreciated. Turrets are a great part of Halo.
And the ghosts, my scripting skills aren't very good, but maybe I can do something workable, if you want it.

Whoa! Those interiors are pretty darn impressive. If you're not using 3D models, you're quite the master of illusion.

Seems like all the Halo to Marathon converters who don't simply play the xbox game thinking it's a Halo sequel are going to be mindfucked.

It is thedoctor45's scenario now, not yours, so he can decide what to do, and when to do it. Do not pressure him to get things done and let him do things when he has time.

it's ok, I'm in the process if importing/rendering the Halo 3D models now - if time permits I'll try to render all the covenant enemy sprites - otherwise I'll stick to the Master Chief and maybe the UNSC personnel and use the HD XBLA aliens for the rest.

Also I'm planning to replace most of the scenery with static 3D models from the original Halo game. I hope everything works out as planned...

I've started importing 3ds models now and it seems to be working just fine here's a screenshot - more to come so stay tuned.

It's more like: why do you have to be so defensive? And why do you have to pretend like you didn't try to tell thedoctor45 where his priorities should be, when really you should just be grateful he's doing anything at all in the first place? I am a bit defensive, but I tend to get ganged up on here, probably because people here tend to dislike me. A lot.
