Cool. Just found out the problem as to why A1 didn't like my maps.... I saved them as sce2 files. I just had to save them as sceA instead. And also apply lightsources!

Actually, the newer versions of AlephOne are really stubborn and from my experience only open SceA.
If I make a map in Obed and save it as Sce2, Obed's default, AlephOne won't open it.
In order to fix this. I open the map in the still incomplete MapEditorOneWX, which though incomplete, can save Sce2 scenarios as SceA.
I open it in AlephOne no problem after that.

There is no difference.

The map file format is the same as it was in Marathon 2. If Aleph One doesn't recognize it (usually happens with Chisel, which saves chunks in a weird order--I suppose Obed might do this as well) simply change the extension to .sceA.

sce2 and sceA files are otherwise identical.

They are the same information. I have had no problems with sce2's with the newest aleph one or the dec 08 aleph one.
