I'm having extreme difficulty making enemies attack the player, they stand around doing nothing.
After some experimentation I found that opposing monsters in a single polygon become invincible.
It requires 2 polygons, 1 polygon for enemies, one polygon for you and your allies to allow them to be killed.
How many monsters can be on one polygon before the AI breaks?

Monsters can get confused if they can't move among 3 or more adjacent polygons. However, I don't know what effect multiple monsters occupying the same space has. I'm sure there are existing instances of multiple monsters on the same polygon behaving properly, especially in Marathon 1 levels where there were fewer polygons overall.
