the current maps are chosen because:
the majority of them are rated higher than 4 and have over 5 ratings.
the others are the highest rated maps, and i think i put in a set number.
the infinity maps were removed because i realized everyone has memorized them and some of them have cheap areas with invincibles or purples or crazy stuff like that.

What was wrong with RS 1.6? I think the earlier versions got at least 4 stars, people just didn't vote on the updates.
IMO, you should create a poll and have people vote, then use those maps.

If you don't add Red Spectrum, which has a 4.64 rating, with 22 votes, it's simply retarded. The only one on your list above that is Quick Six. I also don't see why Coriolis isn't on there, even though I don't really like that pack, there are some good levels. Of course, it's not really a big deal to me, since I'm not even a part of it. Oh, and Shadowbreaker, I know you don't want the ladder, but the people here are planning to do it by replays. Yes, I know, the replay system is incredibly flawed and so easy to cheat on, but they think it's fine, so to them devs aren't really important.

You can use the Doomchargers Lua script to deal with invincibilities and rechargers. Someone could easily mod it to take care of bottles tooxyfbzi wrote: some of them have cheap areas with invincibles or purples or crazy stuff like that.
well also some of the infinity netmaps aren't good, especially with only 2 people.
maybe red spectrum is classified in fileball as "infinity- net", i only checked "aleph one: net" so maybe that's the problem.
Since you guys really seem to be pressing red spectrum and coriolis loop, i'll put them in.

You assclown, RS is a "Must-Have." It's permanently affixed to the front page. How could you miss it?

Hey, xy...have you thought about integrating only parts of the built-in infinity netmaps? Am thinking of route 66/duality/house 'n king of pain/thunderdome. These make an impression of being fast paced 2 player maps...
I recommend to pursue a career in diplomacyRyokoTK wrote: You assclown

Yes, but if you fight someone who knows the map, you have to adapt and learn the map to be able to counter them. Basically, it forces you to learn to counter other players strategies.

If that's true then I'm shitting monkeys right now.xyfbzi wrote: well memorizing maps doesn't improve your ability.
Hint: that means it's not true.
memorizing them improves your ability in that map. not in any other map. i thought that was implied.

Don't feed the troll, guys. Nobody is that stupid.
Memorising maps can only give you a certain advantage, but let's face it. A good player knows how to explore and nuke every moving thing on the map. Doesn't matter if they know the map or not.
If it's such an unsure thing, why don't you test that theory out? Have very good player play on an uncharted map against another player who knows it very well. You'll see what the outcome is. Remember: You can find the rocet launcher before your opponent, but if your opponent manages to point a gun to your head first it'll be all for nothing.
Oh, by the way, quick question: Where do i ask for a Netbattle around here? I almost cried out of joy when i found that "Aleph One" was updated a few months back...

Just start the game up, click "Join Network Game" then "Find Internet Game"
Wait around in there until a game appears.
