decided to give this a try. Got to "The Rise and Fall of Dugit" and barely made it to the the end. Read the terminal message, and. Crash. I've tried using the choose your own level code to go to Level 7 "Asphodel Meadows", but it just doesn't wanna work. I know, it's a beta.... still, any help would be appreciated (On Intel Mac, 10.9 if that helps any)

The same thing happens to me. The message says "Error /Users/ghs/aleph/trunk/PBProjects/../Source_Files/GameWorld/map_constructors.cpp:1132: Assertion failed: MapIndexList.size() < UINT16_MAX

I hope this helps someone troubleshoot.

It's a problem with the map design.

BTW this is a great scenario. The detail in the maps is inspired. It's amusingly fun to play.

       OpenGL   =  tested a range of settings.
Circumstances
The crash-out occurs on (completion &) jumping from "The rise and fall of Dugit" to "Asphodel Meadows". It smoothly drops out to Windows with the two included error pop-ups one after another: #1.JPG & #2.JPG which read -

Using <CTRL><SHIFT> & New Game to select the next level - "In Out Dreams Awake" causes a crash too. <CTRL><SHIFT> & New Game on "Frameshift Mutation", the next level again, works. After that, choosing "In Out Dreams Awake" works including the "Venom" chapter splashscreen, but "Asphodel Meadows" is still a no go.
