Marathon 2 switches not working

Hi guys
I am playing Marathon 2 via AlephOne on Mac OS Sierra.

In level What About Bob? I cannot activate the switch to the immediate right of the terminal to raise the walkways.
Usually this would be done with TAB. Nothing works.

Any help is greatly appreciated, so that I can indulge more in this beauty…

I scratch started the level and found that this is one o those switches that can be double clicked, i.e. if you have a little keybounce the switch will click on & off again and then be non functional. Also, you might try punching the switch: some o them only work with a punch. I am presuming the tab worked on other switches so the tab key is not misprogrammed.

Other than these ideas, I really can't come up with anything. Though if'n I do, I'll make another post.

Oh, I forgot to add that I'm using Windows.

Oops, malum meum, the double click would not be the problem since the switch will only reset and become inoperative after the walkways have risen.
