I do! (Though I also think that his relationship with Durandal is a lot better than most people assume it is, alleviating the "life sucks" a bit)

I do too, and I also feel bad whit killing BoBs (the SO should be there to protect them).
Well, being a zombie killer cyborg might not bring an optimistic approach to life.

The Marathon universe is entirely bleak, everything sucks.
The Security Guard should consider himself lucky to have a semi-noble important purpose to work on.
