Nope, if you look at the date of when that was uploaded you can see that it is the older version. I'm pretty sure that when he finishes the next beta he will tell us when he will release it. It would be pointless to release a beta for something then not tell anyone you released it. Hopefully it will not be to long before the next beta is released, this is really starting to look good.tehWastedJamacan wrote:btw, is the upload at simplici7y the newest version? cus i really want to try it out now that ive seen those screenshots.

Sorry about that, I was just in a bad mood.Fishman92 wrote:You're just doing that to pee me off now. Put it i a different topic.
Level 5 is complete (woopwoop) now starting level 6!
As for the images file and terminal picts, is using resedit theonly way i can get it to work? i've tried other resource editors but they don't work..
And yeh, i am using a version of forge (modified by me so i can make any sense of what i'm doing) in classic mode in 10.3.9 on a 400mhz imac g3
I must give you props for chugging along with the old iMac. I used to use that machine for a good stretch, and made a lot of maps with it. I still do all of my mapping with Forge in classic, however.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned and/or established, but Terminal Pictures don't go in the "Images" file. They go in the map file, via merging with Forge/Atque or Resedit.

That's weird, I remember trying it on Images. Does it crash splitting the Infinity map?
Ok i'm now using resedit for images files.

I like what you're doing here. The minimalist approach to the HUD does well by the surreal feel of the environment it seems you are creating. This is solid stuff. Keep it up!Fishman92 wrote:Ok i'm now using resedit for images files.

EDIT: "Death Catcher"... nice name.

I have to say, this project is shaping up rather nicely, the new map style and hud fits the style you are working for, if progress like this continues the next beta you release will be awesome.Fishman92 wrote:Ok i'm now using resedit for images files.

I love the fog effects... there's an option to make the fog consume the entire landscape as well, giving you a flat color instead of an out of place looking sky.
Also, if you're gonna use some of those textures, then I recommend downloading the PSDs used to make them with: http://fileball.bungie.org/index.php?optio...nfo&id=3400

Look's greats so far. The environments are dark and dank, the fog gives it a surreal, night-marish feel and the levels are lacking in light just enough to be creepy with out being opressive. Looking forward to the latest release, especially level 5.

Cool, thanks for all the feedack. Recently, while I haven't been updating the sites, I ave revamped levels 1-6 almost completely. There's actually some decent story, i've been taking out all the bugs, extensivly checking for faults in the design and errors, changing the hud, changing the weapons (most noticable the flame pistols!) and a whole load of other things like level specific mml and stuff to make it creepier- it almost scared me!
I will release a brand new beta soon, but I will check for more bugs in the meantime. If you've got anymore suggestions, maybe for a new weapon or level, I would like to hear it!
Many thanks for the feedback, and keep watching!!!

Ok, soz for lack of updates (been working like a hamster!) a new screenshot of the flame pistols are online, at http://www.fishmaniacsnetwork.webs.com/app...hotoid=41760065 . I've also made a new assault rifle (it rocks). Now i'm checking for bugs an dat stuff.
I also have 2 free weapon slots- any ideas?

idea 1: a single barreled sotgun that uses a cat as a silencer
idea 2: a zealot blade (view starcraft zealot)
serious idea 1: none atm

I think the Zealot blade is a really cool weapon, but I think it would look a bit out of place in this scenerio. A close range melee weapon would be cool for this though.CryoS wrote:idea 2: a zealot blade (view starcraft zealot)
