Heyo, I'm RADIX (aka Gonzo). Discovered Marathon in '08, came back to it in mid-2015; I've also been lurking here for a while. I think my artwork currently makes up at least 70% of the Marathon art on dA. :U
I like to blather about third-party scenarios (mostly on me blog, and mostly about Rubicon) and collect terminals. I also made a very rough effort to translate this old series of Japanese scenarios, "Ka-co-kh".
Hope I can contribute something of interest here.
I am a person who exists

Nice to meet you. I also discovered Marathon no too long ago. Basic site rules are no piracy & no porn uploads ect. Moderators are treellama, Switch & $lave. I thing you get the point.
I'm not going to deny it, this community's in minor turmoil over engine development. There's a lot of arguments going on over what we should add, ect. Just so you know you don't have to get involved if you don't want to.

Wrk is out troll here on the Pfhorums, so try not to take anything he says too personal. Also when he's trolling, try not to feed him.

I don't know why you're acting like this in someone's WELCOME thread, but I can't do anything to stop you. RADIX, just go to the in game lobby and chat with people there. That's where the real community is, and new people are always welcome.

Prolly a dumb question, but does "the game lobby" refer to lhowon.org? I've been thinking of going there, once I stop being lazy.

I think he's talking about the game lobby, you have to download the game to access it.

Yeah, metaserver.lhowon.org. From in the game you click join network game, and then find internet games. Depending on your time zone, there are often people there that actively play the game. It's been pretty active lately, so now would be a good time to try it out.General-RADIX wrote:Prolly a dumb question, but does "the game lobby" refer to lhowon.org? Might be because I'm super overloaded with work right now and can't think straight, but I could swear General-RADIX was already long-time user.
Do I know you from somewhere else instead of here?
EDIT: Right, the MSF, duh. I forget that not every Marathoner already has an account on both forums.

Hard to tell, acronyms are pretty slippery, but contextually it's probably referring to here.3371-Alpha wrote:What's MSF?
I just play 'em; I don't know how they work.
General-RADIX, welcome aboard. I'd like to echo and expand on Wrk's and Alpha's statements: ignore everyone; ignore everything; shut your eyes, put your hands over your ears, and curl up in a corner of your room; wait for the inevitable embrace of death to take you away from this horrid place.
Good advice in general, Pfhorums aside.philtron wrote:ignore everyone; ignore everything; shut your eyes, put your hands over your ears, and curl up in a corner of your room; wait for the inevitable embrace of death to take you away from this horrid place.

I could do that, but giving in to despair might make it a bit hard to draw (or write).

Being dead only improves the quality of your art. Everyone knows that.

Yeah, but does it really improve the quality, or just the value?

The irony is that Marathon is one of the reasons I get up in the morning, even if it comes bundled with irons & wrk.philtron wrote:wait for the inevitable embrace of death to take you away from this horrid place.

We really should have another Pfhorums Awards Ceremony. Aqua has already declared me as most helpful Pfhorums member.philtron wrote: So, when do I get crowned "Philosopher King of the Pfhorums"?
