Can't play Marathon :(

Hello.
I was starting Aleph One today, and when it loads the level no matter what game it is, it just shows me this error:

How do I fix this?

The only thing I can think of is there might be something wonky in your preferences file. Make a backup of the preferences which is located along side the aleph one application then delete the original preference file. You'll have to reprogram key bindings, graphic settings, etc... but could solve this issue.

Everything was okay speaking of the preference files. I was actually able to run Aleph One with Windows 98 compatibility mode, it works great and it loads maps now. FYI I use Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Thanks for the tip.
