I was wondering, it would be nice to change the file extension of plugins archives, just like .jar are more or less renamed zip files. It would prevent confusion and allow nice icons.

Java Applets are so 1990's. fixed... In fact, the gaming part of Quake Live is juste a modified version of the original game code released as a web browser plugin. Playing that game requires downloading the full game (as a plugin) and installing it. It is not a real browser game. I see no interest ...

This is plain bullshit! There are indeed FPS used by militaries for training BUT they are not used at all for shooting training, they are mainly made to test soldiers ability to adapt and find their way to totally unknown environments. I recall the militaries try to use FPS to help soldiers to feel ...

Some monster will try to get close to the player whereas others will snipe from distance. Monsters that are supposed to go to the player will behave like they have not been activated if they cannot get to the player, which can be the case if the ledge is higher than the maximum height that monster i...

Maybe you should take care of real problems instead of solving so called issues that would not occur if players had their gaming rig up to date!

A mac using Bootcamp to run windows is a PC, the only thing you really gain is Apple driver support, which is somewhat shitty (graphic card drivers are hardly ever updated). (I hope you are speaking about bootcamp because I seriously doubt UDK engine will run well using any virtualization technology...

It seems it is yet another dota clone. I actually have not played any of them, even if I use to play dota some time ago. My main problem with dota were the terrible default controls and other limitations coming from warcraft 3 tft. I think a lot of good players used some third party (windows only) p...

It has actually be done by the same team, so it IS dota except stand alone.

I think ships were better and weapons more interesting in EV:N than EVO, but EVO was more open. I personally always have preferred EV:N over the other two opuses.
Anyway, X3:TC is way better than any EV game, in every respect (maybe except story telling)

Very hard to give only 5 games, depends mainly on the kind of game? here is a list, not really ordered Stalker: Call of Pripyat: It took several opus to create the "final" Stalker but it seems they achieved a near ideal game. a bit short though. An older video tutorial. Some of the infos in this tutorial are pretty outdated (transfer mode setting is now made in overhead map when in texture mode...) but I think it does give a good general idea on how to use the script. If you want some plot featuring maps, just make some and I'll adapt them.
However, I think the last stand game mode is too "arcade" for that. And it will be even worse when I will have finished the scoring system.

Not sure how find_target is linked to the scenery width, but using two sceneries (one for the closed door and one for the open door) that would be the same except for the width parameter (open door close to zero, closed door with the actual width) would pretty much do the trick without blocking the ...
