Some of these logos look good large, but I can't help but wonder what some of them (especially the 3d types) look like when they are scaled down. For instance, phorrest's beveled logo looks really good at the size he made it, but it's less cool when scaled down.

I guess my own interest is pretty much based on nostalgia. Marathon was the only game we ever had to run on our Mac that was of any kind of quality. I used to get in serious arguments with kids at school about the superiority of Marathon compared to Doom. Being in the minority, I usually lost those ...

What OS are you using? Mine is so old I can't even deal with some of the stuff put out from weland and other modern editors. It's windows XP. Anyway after deleting the downloads of A1 and phoenix that I had and downloading two fresh copies, it seems to be working. So, whatever it was, it's gone now...

Yeah I guess I'll uninstall and try again.

Thanks for the help, though. I appreciate the free tech support.

That's the version I'm running. 2010 04/24

I'm fully prepared to admit that it could just be my computer and be done with it. The first time I ran it, it worked perfectly fine with saving games, but after the first time I quit, it will not save.

Maybe someone has already covered this, but I could not find a mention in either of the threads about Marathon: Phoenix. The game loads up fine, but whenever I try to either open a saved game or save the new game I am playing, the entire program quits out. Any ideas, or is my computer just being tou...

Welcome, new person. Have fun with all the 3rd party content. I recommend Tempus Irae, though others don't like it as much. That one is next on the list. Someone I talked to on the subject recommended Evil, Eternal, Rubicon, and Tempus Irae. So far, I'm having fun with Evil and Eternal, so I don't ...

You know, what I really don't get is how they think this is going to be profitable. If anything, it's going to directly cause us NOT to go to the sites being advertised. They just want to post a link on as many sites as possible. They don't need you to actually go to their website for it to margina...

I first encountered Marathon as a demo released on some message board my dad liked to frequent in the spring of 1995. Skeptical of his assurance that "the rest of the game must be here in the demo somewhere, they've just hidden it somehow" I came to the conclusion that I must find a way to buy the w...

I'd like to book a room, please. If you have any suites available...oh I see, just a lawnchair out by the highway. Well I guess if that's what you have I'll take it.
