Re: Apotheosis – Rebuild
I remember having tons and tons of fun messing around with this thing years ago, so I'm definitely hyped to see it making a return now!

Re: Marathon: Inferno
This is why around here we make fun of people who just announce a project or scenario while it's in the idea phase, because 99/100 times nothing ever actually becomes of it. Having project ideas is great! But don't make announcements before there's anything to show for it, it won't be well received.

Re: Marathon: Paths of Jjro.
This is a massively better start to a project than some ugly title screen artwork. You have my attention, and my best wishes for the success of your project.

Re: Eternal X 1.2
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to test out the latest posted alpha, it just quits the moment a map finishes loading. Though it seems to be specifically maps with the redone textures and bumpmapping, as maps with the old textures load okay. I'm on Windows 10 64-bit, trying to run E...

Re: Eternal X 1.2
I personally really liked the old Eternal fusion firing sounds, the ones that were used for the Infinity Modulator in Star Trek Voyager Elite Forces, really gave them a nice punch. I was confused when they were replaced by the M1 fusion pistol sounds in the first place.

I'm still interested, but I have no expectations. I never have any expectations on the Pfhorums.

Re: Finally throwing out Halathon
This is being worked on again? Well count me in whenever something gets released! I remember following along with the amazing progress on this thing years ago, and it's incredible to see the progress that's been getting done on this Marathon TC.

To the best of my understanding, the reason that the creators of Trojan didn't want it ported to Aleph One was, at the time (years and years and years ago) Aleph One wasn't able to fully copy the way marathon 1 worked, for example: no in-game music, damage floors, or glue/super glue. Now that most (...

Treellama deserves all the credit, for both the idea and the implementation. I'm just the guy who lets you drink way too much coffee before you start punching out Pfhor. [attachment=5444:Too_Much_Coffee.zip] Do yourself a favor and try out ShapeFusion , it's really quite excellent. Well then your b...

Now that plugins can have shapes patches , you aren't limited to Bungie's handful of animation frames -- you can render and display 30 distinct frames for the 30-tick pistol reload , so the animation is perfectly smooth. If you do that and run into horrible problems, then we'll talk. [MGrin] You're...

Marathon: Phoenix is an action-oriented scenario with particular stylistic emphasis on strong level design...

EDIT: Surely, this should be in Aleph One Discussion? I have a weird way of introducing myself is all. Player guided MML never worked as far as I know--you may be misremembering. Let me rephrase myself. I am currently using the above posted mml script on my G3 iMac with the february 17 2002 build o...

A long time ago i played a map called swedish mayhem that had an embedded script that enabled player homing , here it is: <marathon> <player guided="true"/> </marathon> Unfortunately it only seems to work on old OS9 builds of Aleph One. So , would somebody mind making a script that enables player ho...
