Re: POLL: The Future of 'Tour of Duty'

Really, the only way you could is to emulate an older macintosh using Sheepshaver or the like. Search the forums for trojan, there's at least two topics of people trying to get it to work with some success.

What If Marathon Had Been A Windows Game?

Whelp, the title pretty much says it all. We all know the history. Marathon made a splash in the Mac community. It offered free mouse look and dual wielding, even introducing dual purpose weapons. While it wasn't the first, it was among the first for all of these, and on the less popular OS at the t...

Re: Weland 1.4

Okay, first thing first. A**hole listener wasn't me, my account got hacked apparently. Only spotted that because I was looking to see if there was a bug fix. Weland, all versions, is giving me a crash report every time I try to open it. It bounces in the dock for a few seconds before crashing. I've ...

A1 Marathon

So, I recently found out that the newest version of Alephone is compatable with the original Marathon files. Seven months late, of course... But, anyway. Wanting to play with the original textures and everything in it's 1994 goodness. However, it seems that simply dragging and dropping A1 into the f...

Re: Weland 1.4

Did you guys miss the announcement? I forked Smithy and added Visual Mode to it a few months ago. Check it out at SourceForge.

EDIT: Hacked Account, changed my pass.

Re: Alephone opening, and then freezing

Well, Spoke too soon. Rubicon is giving me trouble, and the thing that worked for Evil and Pheonix isn't working. And, the strange thing is, is that it's not giving me a log from the alephonelog.txt, which makes me think that it might just be my computer being old and not even running it completely....

Sorry Hopper. I've already deleted them. If this happens when I try to install Rubicon or something, I'll be sure to save the pref files!

Re: Alephone opening, and then freezing

Thanks Hopper! I deleted the preference files and now they're working perfectly!

The new aleph one engine trying to use the old prefs, and not understanding it, or something?

Alephone opening, and then freezing

Hello, I'm trying to reinstall several marathon games that I had at one point working on this computer, and deleted trying to free up some memory. The original trilogy runs fine, but when I try to play Marathon Evil or Phoenix with the newest version of aleph One the window opens up, and immediately...

Re: Free Marathon Discs, Manuals, etc (from an old-timer)

I would love that copy of Marathon Infinity, if it's not too late for that, but if it is, eh.

I don't really have a reason, other than wanting to play the original game on my old OS 9 Machine.

WeirdoYYY wrote:Is there even any developments in this? I heard that Bungie regained their rights to Marathon when they left Microsoft but that's about it.
In their contract for Activsion(?), Bungie was giving the rights to set aside ten percent of their workforce from project Destiny to work on a Marathon game.

If I remember right, it's not the utility that you use to add applications to the list, you have to get into your actual router software to do it.

Help with the Basillisk Emulator.

Well, I managed to get the Basillisk emulator up and going, and was enjoying some scenarios and games that simply wouldn't run on the current systems, when I ran into a snag. One that was pretty stupid. Messing with the preferences when everything is fine is stupid. I've turned on Virtual memory, an...

More and more Pfhor continued to pour in seemingly from out of nowhere. The good thing was that there was nothing more than a trooper. However, the amount of fighters seemed endless. Jack began to reload when he realized that he was down to his last magazine, but this wasn't the worst of it, as more...
