Anyone around here play Planetside 2?

I started playing Planetside 2 recently since I now have pretty fast bandwidth. I was wondering if anyone else is playing it or might like to play it.

Also, I'm afraid one day it may become self aware and go rampant. And it knows everything about you. Don't worry, ukimalefu, Cleverbot will most likely be the first, and you can only have one rampant AI on the web at one time... I hope... Unlike, ukimalefu and Destiny, I do have an active facebook ...

Are you trying to recreate the DOUCHEMAPS plugin or something? Oh, those were the best... Deram Scholzara, the first one looks good except for the curve in the right wall. I don't know if that really belongs there. The textures also don't seem to fit in with every thing else. But nonetheless, it lo...

One thing that always gets me is transferring the architecture of the ship into a modern game. The screenshot is very nice and very inspiring. Thanks for posting!

To be quite honest, the modern society (at least where I am) is INCREDIBLY idiotic. Yeah, idiocy seems to be at an all time high these days. As RyokoTK stated, modern games have so much objects in the scenes that it is more distracting that realistic. I find it extremely hard to play the Modern War...

The Mass Effect series is, in my opinion, one of the best game series I have played. Although the Mass Effect 2 uses "SecuRom" activation, but so does Bioshock, so that might not be to big a deal for you. Mass Effect 3 uses "Origin" activation software. Because both of the policies these activation ...

W'rkncacnter, if this is the shape of things to come, my whole future experience with the Marathon community is screwed.

Although, I have to give it to you, pre-Doom level design at it's finest!

That's the same thing I thought while watching it a few nights ago. I thought it was okay... but you have to admit, that David character was excellent. Wow, It's looking nice. I never knew Aleph One could handle so much 3d models, I only assumed it could handle a very few. I guess that's why I never looked too much into it. Can't wait to see more updates.

...Well... It's funny how fast big brother will turn back to the belief that they can make the world... "better." And I do not hold to that.

As Hopper already said, G-4 Sunbathing is not a low-gravity level. Therefore its gravity, in terms of what the actual experience is while playing the game, would be what you're calling Forge's normal gravity. It's worth pointing out that there are countless animations out there where the animator j...

I suppose it hinges on what the goal of the animation is. If it's to simulate Marathon's physics accurately, I'd still look to the Forge manual as the best source material. If the animation is just supposed to look plausible given Marathon's art and story, then estimating distances off of how tall ...

Thanks for the link Treellama.

According to the information: 1 WU= 8 feet (2.42m)

Leaving Marathon's gravity at .553 g
Pfhor's gravity at .276 g

That sound's better to me.

Can you give me a link?

If 2m=WU, then you would experience .456 g "in" Marathon,
leaving the Pfhor's native environment at .228 g.

I'm currently rendering a cube dropped onto a plane with different amounts of gravity. It might help... G4 Sunbathing is not actually marked as a low-gravity level; that setting is only used on the Pfhor ship levels.Levels marked as "low gravity" use half as much gravity as is listed in the physics file.ShapeFusion can now open physics files; you might find that easier than PhysicsEditorOne.You proba...
