Custom Marathon Folder Icons
I come bearing gifts :D. I wanted to take a break while making Durandal wall textures by making these icons for the trilogy set. I don't know how well it will translate for Windows though so take it at high risk. But should there be any problems, lemme know and I'll try to fix it or something. :shru...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
I've downloaded that file and extracted it. So far, it looks like I'm able to open it up with ResEdit, (and Rezilla for that matter). Even though it was a generic blank document with no suffix, I was able to get it to work when I placed it directly in the Data Files folder. One thing I did notice yo...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
This is the file in question: Sounds.zip By default it bares a generic document blank icon. At most I can change the suffix from ".sndz" to ".sndA" and its icon would change accordingly and by adjusting the mml script to match the file name, I can play the game with sound effects...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
In that case, I'll have to go with SheepShaver as that's what I got installed on my Mac right now. Though specifically Chubby Bunny. So does the site still host the download for the Mac Classic version of M1A1, or should I go to another site to do that? Also, what utility app would I need to downloa...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
Well, as I stated before I'm playing version 1.2.1, which is an AIO app, but I've placed my modded .sndA file within where the original sound file "Sounds.sndz" is located. As for SF, it's version 0.6 and I'm running all of this on Mac OS X 10.8.6 Snow Leopard. But yes, I did get that mess...

Re: 5-D Intersections Weland plugin
A long time ago, I actually made a map that would utilize 5D space. I shaped the map into a sort of figure 8 just to see if standing at one particular spot, I could see both intersection simultaneously and what it would look like. Needless to say, when I did that, it crashed my game entirely. Of cou...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
I was trying to tinker around with modding sound effects and stuff. Apparently the file that I downloaded seems to be structured the same way as all the other ones. Incidentally, I did earlier before tried to use one of them as a sort of "plugin" of sorts just to see how it turned out. Wha...

Re: ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
I downloaded the game from Aleph One's website whose recent version was 1.2.1. It's a self-contained game app just like the other two Marathon games.

ShapeFusion Won't Open M1A1's Sound File
Within the classic first Marathon file is a sound file that ShapeFusion is unable to open. I even tried to change the suffix from .sndz to .sndA but that file refuses to open. I scoured the internet looking for an alternative utility to open that particular file. I have no other problem opening the ...

A case sensitive file system is hardly factory spec. You had to go way out of your way to cause this much trouble for yourself! Actually, I was launching Aorta off from an external USB harddrive. If a case sensitive is giving me all this much trouble, then damnit! To reformat the drive is a pain, u...

What's with the really bright spot on the walls? Are you trying to recreate the DOUCHEMAPS plugin or something? I'm sure you noticed in the trilogy games, ceiling lights and other types of lights are not common throughout the levels. In a realistic 3D environment, the lighting sources sticking to w...

Impressive. No way I could have easily reworked the original textures as fast and as good as you can for Infinity. I've only had small opportunity to work on my texture project for Durandal. I hope to see you plan to do them as well seeing that you already have some of the ground work already set up...

While there's sort of an open-source version of Photoshop out there called GIMP, I found one that could be very promising even though they might have a demo, but you might wanna check it out. It's called Pixelmator.

This is the closest utility I can find that I think will allow for editing shapes for M1. Problem is, when I go to the open dialog box, it won't even read any of the vital files for Marathon, not even the old Classic versions. What type of file can Pfhred only open? I want to be able to tinker aroun...
