Ok, I've figured out more. The library problem only occurs when I start a game in "software" mode (as opposed to opengl, D3D, etc.) Now while this would ordinarily be a solution, when I play in D3D (openGL is not supported on my comp) it is extremely sluggish (my comp can't handle it). So,...

Hmm, that would be a disappointment. I do have a working German GOTY edition of Half Life 1; is there any way that I could take the files from opposing force and blue shift (the expansion packs) and somehow run them using the GOTY edition? Well, thanks anyway for your help.

Ok, I'm fairly certain some of you guys play Half Life. I just got the english version (the single player pack with all the expansion packs) but I have a problem. Whenever I try to start a new game, the loading bar gets about 25% done before it exits out and tells me that it is "unable to load ...

@Drake: at least dont use your identity. I mean, common, seriously!
But if I were to be caught masquerading and evading a suspend-ing then what? I'd rather just go out honestly.

I said please. Not to mention if you don't want to help, you don't need to. Just ignore my requests if you don't want to help. And, I don't see what's so demanding or rude about my post. I said "Please find one for me" at the end, although I'll bet by then you three were too busy getting t...

WTF? Go write your own, if PEO isn't good enough for you. please screw yourself for me before you all burn me at the stake, I don't want PEO because it doesn't work on my comp. I'm not saying that it isn't "good" enough for me. And all of you don't realize that I do indeed search. So, mos...

OK, do any of you know a good MML editor that runs well on WINDOWS 98? I'll need this before Saturday because after I leave, I won't have internet (but I will have a computer) and I want to become experienced with mml. So, if you know of one just post it up here.

Flashbangs don't kill you in CS. You get shot and die while you are blind and deaf. You probably got shot by whoever threw it.

Well, I don't think that much of that has changed. Fog makes it a claustrophobic, low visibility, dark place and the ammo levels don't need changing. In fact, fog would amplify those feelings. The cliff idea can be scrapped if it doesn't fit with the overall feeling of the game. What is wrong with e...

(moreso than in CS, from what I remember) In CS you are loud, you're footsteps are loud enough to hear from quite a ways off unless you are holding down your "walk" key. And in FEAR, one punch when your weapon is holstered will kill. At least in CS it takes several stabs with a knife (unl...

A bit of oversight on my part as to the females but I've always thought that a female scream was scarier than a male one. The fog sounds good. Yeah, and a flashlight would just kinda limit the player too much. As there are only 7 weapon slots, the secondary fires are going to be useful in making eac...
