There's nothing special about it as far as I know.

Re: Aleph One 1.3

Seems to be working well!

Nice that it doesn't crash anymore when switching between full screen and windowed mode after a few times.

I guess I'll have to try that Trojan scenario some time.

Re: Seeking Dade footage (or vintage netgame footage in gene

I did get that, Sharkie, thank you. The 2012 and newer playbacks go just fine, but the old ones go out of sync even with the script you gave me. I wonder if playing them back on a version of Aleph One from that period would yield anything different. Oh yeah. I have been using 1.2.1 for those replay...

Re: Seeking Dade footage (or vintage netgame footage in gene

Yep. I am the greatest ever. Add it to the record books! Adminn, Everything ya needed for the other stuff too should be in that email I sent last night. I'm assuming you got it. Not sure if the 2012 replay requires an older version of the map pack. But I'm guessing you'll say so anyway. No idea why ...

I remember my bro being a big fan of this game back when. I should tell him, he might like this too!

It occasionally gets a bunch of people, evenings when it does. But on what day, or sometimes days? Varies very much.

Re: Aleph One 1.3b3

Make sure you're editing the right preferences file ! Probably a good idea to make sure I am doing this right so I'm not giving any misinformation. For 1.3 tests I've been using standalone A1 in the DataFiles folder of the all-in-one Marathon Infinity (1.2.1 if that matters). Would I still be editi...

Re: Aleph One 1.3b3

Overall it seems to play okay physically, but there still seems to be that short sound delay, even with TL's suggested preferences edit as well. Should the samples be made lower? I like to be sure from you first before I mess too much with the preferences file (yes I did copy it). If I end up having...

And there you have it everybody! Even though that review of the last level still seems kind of "meh", I do still very much enjoy the game, and I very much like the story behind it. I did begin to appreciate (and understand) Infinity's storyline, but not until like 2013. Even then, M2's just feels mu...

Level 28: All Roads Lead To Sol... Well here we are, the final level. At the start, a pattern buffer, 2X recharger, and lots of regenerating missiles. Clearly a sign that you'll be needing them. So as you go down along the stairs, a room with scrolling walls, and lots of fusion batteries. And as yo...

Level 27: Feel The Noise. Man, this is a tough level. Had to restart two times, and each time brought me back to the last level since there is no pattern buffer until you're more than halfway done with this level. (Can I say level enough times?) It's a very active one for sure. Every place you turn...

Level 26: Fatum Iustom Stultorum. The S'pht'Kr have arrived! I'm pretty sure the chapter screen sound was influenced heavily by M1's title screen, not that there's anything wrong with that! You really need to be prepared for your arrival here. When you walk towards any door, 4 Troopers drop in. Som...

Level 25: Requiem For A Cyborg. Back on a Pfhor ship once again, only this time I believe it's to clear it out because Robert Blake will be using it? I can see why some appreciate the structural setup of that level, but I just don't think it flows well, if flow is important for single player levels. And it just feels like it's "there."; not part of something, same for Bob's Big Date. In terms if it being a Thoth level? I'm not sure. You've alread...

For the record, I did do those tricks with the doors a lot on Curiouser and Curiouser, and I did it some on Sorry Don't Make It So.

I can see where some would look down upon it. But considering it is pretty much just going along with how the game was actually designed, I don't see it as a cheat.

Level 22: Kill Your Television. The final activation site. This level is definitely the least favorite of those for me. Your starting area isn't bad. Level 21: My Own Private Thermopylae. Back to Thoth activation. And this is actually my favorite level for that.
