Re: Terminal Pictures

I think most people here use Atque to manage terminal pictures. Atque turns a merged map into a directory of files and back, which makes it fairly easy to look at a working map and copy that structure to create your own working terminals. For any future reference, this was eventually the way out of...

Re: Ambient Sounds in OBED??

For any future interested people, I found a solution:

I installed Weyland and starting messing around with that instead.

Re: Ambient Sounds in OBED??

Ah, you're right - but I stil can't get ambient sound... In Forge, it looks like there is an option to define Sound as well as Liquids and Lights, but in Obed there is only Light and Media/Liquid. Yet, there are parameters for ambient and random sound... I feel like I'm either missing something or O...

Ambient Sounds in OBED??

Couldn't find much on this issue, so I'll throw it out there: In Obed, I can't seem to get ambient sounds to work. Under a polygon's properties, there are three parameters for sound (Sound Source Index; Ambient Sound Index; Random Sound Index). By default they are set to 0;-1;-1. I opened Waterloo W...

Terminal Pictures

I can't seem to get pictures to load in terminals when making maps - I'm using OBED. I also have Terminal Editor One, which I haven't dug into much, but can't seem to get pics working through that either. So, with OBED - I've searched the forum, and I've googled it, all I've come up with for an answ...

Re: Visual Mode.lua List of Controls?

Yeah, I've got the hang of it now. Like I said, it was probably obvious I just wasn't seeing it. Thanks!

Re: Wonky joypad support in A1

I know this is an old post, but I was searching through the forum looking for info on using a gamepad and had this thought: http://retail.contourdesign.com/?/image/63/44 I use this thing called a Contour Design ShuttleXpress (sometimes) with a music recording program called Reaper. I think it's gear...

Nostalgic for Marathon and Map Making

Hey guys/gals. When I was a kid I played the Marathon trilogy pretty relentlessly on a PowerMac. I used to make maps and physics with Forge & Anvil, and I even got pretty proficient at it. Unfortunately none of that stuff exists anymore, and these days Im using a PC to do my Marathoning on. Marathon...

Visual Mode.lua List of Controls?

It would be nice if there was a list of key controls for Visual Mode.lua; I know the readme included in the ZIP is pretty helpful in a fundamental sense, but it would be nice if there was a more in-depth user guide to Visual Mode. Specifically I wonder how to move/drag/align a texture... I've search...
