Re: Inm. Pfhor Sprites
[vacuums off thread] Not Pfhor, but I recently made a set of Inm.-based S'pht sprites. These don't have the specific clan armour for reasons of practicality. I'd also made a set of M1-based VacEnforcers, which have shown up in a number of Aaron's videos. CKT1138 edited the versions seen here into so...

It's always nice to see your Marathon stuff! I especially like that take on Durandal.

Enforcers are considered "done" for now. Here's a preview: I did post these to several Discord servers, but it's gotta go somewhere public.

Aw man, you were the one who discovered the "Marathon Zero" beta? That's pretty cool!
I'm glad that there still exists a community for Marathon after all these years, too (and that I'm not the sole person doing fanart/fic).

I mean, the Switch is a Nintendo console. I honestly doubt it'll fall by the wayside that quickly.ravenshining wrote:I've never heard of a Switch until now, and given the pace of console development, I expect it'll soon be eclipsed by the next thing.

Re: Inm. Pfhor Sprites
Cool! [MSmile] ...would you be interested in a map I use to check my Shapes file modification? Is basically a single room with the monsters and scenery items I'd had the idea of modifying, but I can make a version with everything. Thanks! ^^ And that map might be more (immediately) useful for Aaron...

So, between working on personal projects, some commissions, and general slowness, progress on these has been gradual, but I wanted to stick this preview here:
(And yes, I'm redrawing the heads for this set. Inm!Enforcers have completely different facial anatomy)

I take it this is a piss-take of all those "I have a lot of ideas for a fan game but neither the expertise to do the heavy lifting nor discipline to work on it for long, so everyone else handle those for me" threads, here or elsewhere.

Re: whither Traxus? and other changes
wrt: Traxus, it's currently down, and I don't think sign-ups were ever made available without having to PM someone first. There is/was another wiki (Marathon Beyond?) that mirrored some of its content, but I can't find it. Fanscape: Well, there's a new build of A1 (no bridges or proper sniper rifles...

Saw that design and wanted to combine it with my own take on Hathor:
Might also doodle her with the white hair she had in the previous version of those sprites.

I do! (Though I also think that his relationship with Durandal is a lot better than most people assume it is, alleviating the "life sucks" a bit)

Re: Marathon Chronicles
Regarding level design, I’d say just start with the Forge tutorial videos on YouTube . Once you’ve watched that, a lot of the process of actually building a level is fairly self-explanatory, and it hasn’t really changed that much since then, apart from the need to switch back and forth between the ...

Re: Marathon Chronicles
Really sorry to hear what happened to you emotionally, man; I hope you're able to recover soon. wrt: EVIL, if there's no logical way to work any elements from it into Chronicles, then I would vote in favour of removing the EVIL-derived stuff. (EVIL's story is so thin and haphazard that you'd pretty ...

Re: Marathon Infinity - Sysnopses of Timelines
Looks pretty good/straightforward to me!
Guess my main comment would be that I don't think it's 100% clear how/under what circumstances Durandal grabbed the SO; demo versions explicitly say that he teleported them directly into a stasis chamber, but the final doesn't mention this.

Re: Long time no see!
Seconding the scenario-list suggestion; I'd also hope that if anyone can get Traxus back up, all of its stubs for unfinished scenarios could be consolidated into a single page listing each one with a short description. Maybe download links where applicable (example of not applicable: Jade Incursion,...

Re: PSA: Marathon: Durandal XBLA is now playable on Xbox One
Heard about this not too long ago; don't have an XBONE yet, but I do at least remember M2 XBLA as being the first version of any of the games I saw in action.
(Who knows; maybe if this does well enough, they'll consider XBLA-izing M1 and Infinity?)
