Re: Finally throwing out Halathon

I don't suppose it would be possible to add Blood Gulch, would it?

Concerning the Automap Player Arrow

In the original games the player arrow in the automap was red, but in Aleph One it's green like the walls. Is there a setting I can mess with to make it red again?

Re: The 2nd dying of AIME

I don't suppose you could send me a link to your map viewer + source? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Re: Pathways into Darkness on Mac App Store

Probably because 32-bit programs are stuck with the crappy version of the Objective-C runtime and only a very small fraction of the computers that can run 10.6 are 32-bit, so why not take advantage of the extra registers.

Okay, sorry I haven't updated in a while. My computer died a while ago, and I only just got around to installing Weland on my new one.

Here's a stupid question, how do I place the flag for a CTF map? A quick search didn't turn up anything.

A new Marathon game, and it's going to get a small dedicated team that will only get a bit bigger as they sell Destiny? FUCK YEAH! I am now pumped up enough to try and write a modern renderer that can handle 5D space. :D I will probably never be pumped up enough to try and mess with the actual Aleph...

Dang. That looks cool. Shame it crashes. I'd certainly love to see the rest of your incomplete tid-bits. My stuff isn't even a quarter as good.

Thanks, Crater. Doh! I accidentally saved the merged map to the wrong folder, so I ended up testing the previous version of the map. Here are the results for the up to date map. The blue Pfhor now snipes, but not reliably. It does make the map harder though since he usually won't come down until you...

I figured I would put all of my stupid mapping questions in this thread to save eveyone's time. No, I didn't steal that idea from anyone. Why would you even ask that? >.> Anyway, here is my first map. It's small, plotless, and doesn't exactly have the most interesting texturing. So, feel free to giv...

Okay, this is probably just me being dense. But, using the 1.0 beta, the open scenario dialog that opens when Aleph One can't find a scenario in it's folder doesn't seem to be working. I made a Scenarios folder inside of Aleph One's folder, and then I unzipped the Marathon Trilogy scenarios from the...

Oops, I originally posted this in the wrong thread? Wow! The new renderer makes Rubicon X look like Half-Life with an HD texture pack, but without 3D models (except that Half-Life didn't have open spaces as large as the ones in Rubicon). Now if only we had seamless levels we could recreate the Monor...

G4 Sunbathing in general was a heaping helping of paranoia fuel. Nonetheless I was very disappointed with the redesign of the S'pht in M2, pretty much the only visual change that wasn't an improvement. QFT. The M2 S'pht were squat stupid looking things. The tall gaunt faceless figures of the M1 S'p...

Good Evening,

I can't wait to see what Rubicon X looks like with three point perspective. Now if I could only gain the patience needed to wade through that mess of code known as the Marathon engine?

Nobody1707 out.
