Re: How to disable Smooth Text?

I updated A1 recently and too decided to turn smooth text off.

There's some issues there. It looks worse in the menu but I couldn't get a screenshot of that.

Any idea what's going on, Treellama?

Oh. Well, this is awkward. What I've been talking about the whole time (But obviously not been clear enough about) is not the blur applied based on distance seen in the picture, but the smoothing applied to the textures and sprites when in OGL mode. Compare the two pictures below. One is in OGL wher...

Click on prefs, graphics, rendering options, click the advanced tab. See where it says bilinear? Click on that to change the far filter. My bad, I must have used the wrong word then. Changing the option(s) did not remove the blur on all textures and sprites for me. I assure you this isn't the case....

I would suggest switching to software mode, if you want things to look like software mode. Gee, that's helpful. Could I at least know if it's too much of a problem to implement a setting for disabling/enabling bilinear filtering? If so, I really would like to know why. :/ why would you ever want gr...

Playing M1/M2/MInf in Opengl is pretty nice, what with the performance increase. But I liked how the games looked in software mode, that is all pixely. Is there a way to turn off the smoothing out done to the sprites and textures in Opengl? I thought it was antialiasing, but turning it off didnt hav...

The ascension theme turned out to be 5 different sounds under "Water" played in a random order. No wonder I couldn't remember how it went.

That's curious, it worked for me when I built it. Your shapefusion must be magical, or something. This happens with all the sound files I've tested with. Infinity and Durandal included. I tried the svn version, too. Is there a chance the sound also appears in one of the chapter or end screens? If s...

No, it's the one you hear near the end of each mindscrewy level. Levels like the prologue level, (Not intro splash) the epilogue levels, Ascension Factor, Descension Factor, People under the stairs, etc. The menu music is right there in the folder, in .aiff format. :]

Yeah, it sounds stupid, but windows users don't have a lot of options when it comes to that. (Unless I'm a twit and have blatantly missed it somehow, which in that case I'd appreciate some advice on the matter so that I may become less of a twit) Shapefusions "export sound" feature doesn't...

I thought it was an excellent, solemn piece of music that really did add a dark and depressing feel to the first level and gave the message that the catastrophic war between the Humans and the Pfhor had torn apart the galaxy. It did honestly make me feel quite sad and let me knew from the beginning...

I reached a terminal near the start of S'pht'ia that I presumeably wasn't supposed to reach. Please. It took me half an hour to get up there. Grenadejumping up that wall was really hard.
