On an entirely different note, a question for those who dislike the saturation levels of the textures: in the room on "Deja Vu All Over Again" which has that level's first terminal, some of the walls are textures with a green horizontal-pinstriped metal texture. I don't get that smear-effect running on Linux, just thought maybe you'd want to know. Also, I have to agree with some of the criticism in this thread. You should really add the little bits of text and stuff on some of the weapons (both in hand and on ground), like for example the fusion pistol ("Danger" etc) and the SPNKR.
These are actually the kind of stuff that went along the longest for me, I always remember these little things...

You see, I got the flashes when I installed the same RPMs on the Fedora Core (4) distro - non OpenGL, because OGL is not an option for me (as my video adapter as of now doesn't support direct rendering in MOST linux distros/kernels)

The reson for there being no Mac version of HL2 is the "Rag Doll Physics" Its not that Macs cant handle it or anything it just the people who develop the Physics thingy charge a stupid amount for game to use it. And since PC games are ported to the mac by componeys other than the people who develop...
