Re: Aleph One 1.4 preview 1
Wow,
Great job Treellama!
I think it runs a little faster in linux as well.
Unless I'm crazy...which I suppose the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Re: Linux install help
Alephone uses SDL2 now I believe, if SDL2 is what you intend to use you'll need libsdl2-ttf.
libSDL_ttf-2.0 is the 2nd version of SDL1.2's library

They funniest part is that there is a Level 1 part 7. I guess that's going about as well as I'd expect.

Thanks! I saw that after, but I'm not sure it works. Or at least I didn't get an email with the last pm I got. Perhaps it means in site notification?

Re: Aleph One 1.3b3
At least, if that's the case, then someone else is bound to fix it at somepoint. SDL2 isn't that small a project and a lot of people depend on it. Haven't hit it myself, but then I personally can't play games in windowed mode. Drives me up a wall.

I don't think this is unique to any OS, or hardware. I have seen it happen on every system I have tried on. Windows, Linux, OSX/ATI, Intel, Nvidia.

Re: Aleph One 1.3b3
For the sound volume issue, what about using a different sound as a work arround? One where the gain isnt as loud? Its not not like the lightning would sound the same indoors as it does outdoors anyway.

Re: Eternal X 1.2
Also, TL has informed us in the past that AO only loads textures that are actually used, so it shouldn't necessarily be loading all 130 textures in a given set. That is unless you are a fool like me and put all 130 textures in a single zipped plugin. I found that out the hard way with the CFP monst...

Unfortunately for me, I'm an Android user. But I wish this project the best! (And maybe not forget about the far more open platform?)

Re: M1 Hd Weapons Redux
I don't understand. Why the interest in M1A1? I would assume with the actual data files of M1 being usable, M1A1 would be considered obsolete. Are we still recommending players play M1A1 for some reason?

Re: M1 Hd Weapons Redux
Just a suggestion from the peanut gallery, you don't have too, but I thought I'd put it out for thought. I was thinking that since the pistol take so much screen space vertically, it would be good to make the glass transparent as is the freeverse ones. Maybe I've been using freeverse weapons so long...

Re: PS3 Dualshock 3 support?
Hopper has been working hard to add SDL2 support in the next version. That might alleviate things, or is that XBox Controllers? Anyway I would look into some third party software to get it behaving exactly as you like, and have it do keyboard input or something. USB Overdrive comes to mind but there...

Re: Marathon 1 needs a serious facelift.
Because a now defunct company by the name of Freeverse redid the graphics for the XBLA re-release of marathon 2. All was needed to make it work for infinity was to fill in several holes which was not an insignificant amount of work. (And it's been several years for that to happen). To redo all the s...
