Here's a piece which I made a few weeks back. It had some character descriptions and logos on it, but apparently they decided to go without it, hence the blank spaces in the corners and between the characters :/

Thanks! I don't know anything about these glands I'm afraid. I did read the Marathon story screens... hastily. Oh, you mean the pony tail thing? (10001.gif.) I don't know why I didn't draw that. Maybe I thought it would be obscured by the head when seen from the front. By the way, I've added some 'h...

Thanks for the reply :) At first I too was thinking that multiple rays have to be cast to hit different elevations... but after some more thinking I guessed that maybe a single ray can be continued, plowing through elevation maps or somesuch. Since I'm curious I started looking around, and if I unde...

If I recall correctly, Sierra called their early adventure games (e.g. Space Quest) '3D adventure' games. You kind of moved around in a rich environment, so why not? Another 3D game of sorts is Ant Attack. But this is another discussion. Treellama's post confused me since it never revealed what sort...

I assumed Marathon used ray casting for the walls, floor casting for the floor\ceil, and (unlike PiD/Wolfenstein) some clever elevation tricks (like Doom) on top of that. Is this not the case? I couldn't find any info on the original Marathon engine, but it looks similar to Doom. Edit: Maybe it uses...

I'm not sure if these gray scale blurbs will work as an avatar, but go ahead. Speaking of a head. Doodled on my avatar.
Also, I've added the PiD images to my Marathon page.
Also, love the PiD image with the floating seal ('nightmare') that Craig Mullins did. Very atmospheric.

Hello again. Here are some quick doodles of monsters from Pathways into Darkness. It's fun to see the Lovecraftian setting clashing with the colorful enemies. Some of them look like something you'd see in Dragon Quest. It appears some of the enemies were adapted into Marathon enemies, like the float...

I'm still working on Zerberk... a few days per year. I have a zero player alpha that's growing slowly.
Anyways, added some S'pht stuff. Poor creatures.
I've been playing a few levels into M1 and M2 so far. I've already read most of the story over at Bungie.org though...

Thanks! Yeah, it's the first enforcer type. It's a more odd design and I like working with that. I couldn't quite make sense of the gun-arm though, so I made it into big weapon carried on the shoulder. And yes, I do art for Cortex command. Slightly related, I made a System Shock page recently. I'm n...

Hi. I'm a person who likes drawing stuff from old games. Last week it was System Shock, this week it's Marathon. I've just made a small Marathon page with my art. It's a bit more cartoony... but it's not a huge violation I hope, given Marathon's partly colorful hand drawn style. I tried to be faithf...
