so no one knows the original artist and where said artist would have had their music? odd
as for the youtube channel, I've seen that before, but I generally don't care for vids that are just all the songs put together

Finished Eternal after it's latest update
Since watching Rampancy play the newest updated version of Eternal, I just ran through it myself I wanted to say, great job Phorrest, the final chapter is actually fun now, which is a far cry from how it used to be. I wanted to ask though, the final terminal where you talk to Durandal talks about ho...

Re: How strong IS The Security Officer?
I mean, by that, do you want to try and calculate his physicals? I once said that he punches with 7428.57142857 psi, for example. He can punch things and kill them with a few blows or even a single one, a feat ordinary humans would struggle to match, and we know he's a battleroid Very strong, also ...

Re: Marathon Eternal Crashes
The liquids thing (stripey transparency, right?) has been observed by at least one other Windows user who turned down their texture quality to avoid crashing Aleph One. correct, I have no idea how to fix it at the current time, as I cannot turn the texture quality up I wanted to report a bug that t...

Re: I will play every level in Marathon and comment on them
If lava is as orange and yellow as it is in M1 and M2, you would totally sink in, and totally die instantly I actually want to note that this isn't true, molten metal or rock is very dense, and thus really any depiction where people sink into it is completely unrealistic, you'd float on top of any ...

Finished Phoenix for the first time
Yes I know I'm late to the party, but this scenario was too good to not comment upon I don't know why I never did before, too much of a noob I guess But my thoughts are thus Story Marathon Phoenix has a very well written narrative that I enjoyed, so I enjoyed the story a fair bit, though I always fo...

I wouldn't spend too much time trying to come up with real world, logical equivalents for what rooms might be, as much of it could full under the category of 'chaos architecture', I think you might just drive yourself mad

Re: A fourth Marathon??
I agree, unless someone who was the right team came along and did an absolute bang up job, which is pretty supremely unlikely to happen, I don't really want a sequel. We should make the sequel. We could do it in the Doom 2 engine. I really don't understand, if you're making a joke you kinda lost me

Re: A fourth Marathon??
I'm not sure if I would want a Marathon 4 to be honest. I don't know how many people here have played Destiny, but there were a lot of problems with it. From very anti-consumer practices such as cutting content that was on the disc to be resold as ridiculously overpriced DLC to ignoring the communi...

Re: A fourth Marathon??
To be honest I'm not holding my breath. I've been burned before when devs have promised "we'll revisit XXX franchise once our next game sells XXX copies. Promise". Additionally a lot of the time when a company returns to a franchise 20 years later it tends not to turn out well That's not ...

So the latest release is 1.2.1, where can you get the alpha 1.3?Pfhorrest wrote:That's a known bug that's fixed in the latest 1.3 alpha version of Aleph One, and has some workarounds for older versions too.

https://github.com/Aleph-One-Marathon/alephone/issues although I'm not sure that includes bugs that have been fixed in the code but are not fixed in the latest stable build yet (like this one). I can hope, it'd certainly cut down on me bugging everyone on stupid shit everyone else already knows about

it probably wouldn't be so bad if they didnt endlessly respawn and you didnt need a special gun just to kill bansheesphiltron wrote:Personally, I actually preferred it when the monsters were frozen. Made it easier to navigate levels without wading through hordes of PiD demons.
