Re: Project Conflict

Pepper Popper is a must. I found all the Suicide maps on Lochball. Here is that page : http://fileball.lochnits.com/authors/author63.html However, after downloading them I was unable to convert them from my Win10 machine to Mac via HFVExplorer into Basilisk. The error I encountered was about a bad ...

Re: Project Conflict

Any suicide maps in particular? If I recall correctly there are a bunch of them and they aren't assembled in a pack.

Re: Project Conflict

This small assembly of maps were intentionally created by Necolarus for his Trench Foot scenario. It is a similar mod that also brings in marines as combatants. I discovered it in the fileball archives. Modified to work with Project Conflict https://www.dropbox.com/s/2zcdlld6tsez60z/Conflict%20-%20T...

Re: Fixing Marathon 2's Pfhor Levels

Does anyone else feel the same way that I do about M2's artstyle? The Pfhor texture set is my least favorite but I never saw it as hideous. I never once thought about replacing it. It is clear now that If I want Marathon 2 to be as pretty as possible, I'm going to have to go into the maps, retextur...

Re: Project Conflict

if I were to use this in a scenario, I would need to be able to edit them, and even if I could get ShapesFusion to compile I remember not liking its interface and would prefer to use Hackvil and Anvil for everthing they can do. If you need the graphics I can export the collection as bitmaps and upl...

Re: Project Conflict

At 64 MB Anvil runs even more unstable than normal on my Basilisk II setup so I haven't tried pushing it higher. I gave up on Anvil in Basilisk II for anything besides physics models and referencing stuff. It is only because of ShapeFusion that I put my time and energy into this project. Looking at...

Re: Project Conflict

Was there ever mention of an AI among the planetside colonists? I'm wondering about story delivery via terminals. Would there be a narrative like Blake or like Leela? How would you handle the nine cyborgs being a part of the story?

Re: Project Conflict

That one wouldn't open either, until I opened it up in a hex editor side-by-side with a clean one and noticed a bunch of junk at the beginning and end of the file. Maybe that's a weird byproduct of copying it from my ext4 partition to an HFS image from within Basillisk II and then adding type and c...

Re: Project Conflict

Have you considered giving the enemies no flinch sequence, so like you they don't stop firing when fired upon? I think it'd be fun for the fist dudes to have 3x! I split the map to try that and check some things out in your physics, but for some reason Anvil won't open them. https://www.dropbox.com...

Re: Pacman

Can this be considered canon within the Marathon universe? It is canon, though not very relevant to the main story. When Durandal was powered on for the first time he was subjected to a series of check list tests. One scientist thought it might be interesting to see how an AI would adapt to playing...

I encountered a bug trying to submit this to Simplici7y so I'll post the download here instead. Added MADDs and existing maps reworked to include them. Physics merged with maps for convenience.

Re: Pump Action Shotgun Patch

Ok, so I created a second patch with minor tweaks I've made. When I verified it was working it seemed fine. However, when I dug deeper I noticed the sequencing did not patch in which would've made for a really goofy appearance on screen had it worked that far for you. Scratch that updated patch. I s...

Pump Action Shotgun Patch

This ShapeFusion patch and physics model replaces the dual wield shotguns with a pump action shotgun. I came across a really nice set of sprites in a forum for zdoom and tweaked them to fit graphically. Below is the forum post and credit to the original sprite artist. credits https://forum.zdoom.org...

Re: altered marines sprites

I applied your advice of looping frames to existing pistol bobs and hacked a physics model like you suggested. I increased the error to 11 at a frequency of 30. I copied the range attack into melee attack but with an error of 21 and I checked the behaviors box to choose weapon randomly. I know I sti...
