Re: Looking for feedback

I decided to play through a couple more times. I beat it on Total Carnage and the purple troopers were the obvious increase in challenge making me wish a had just another clip of pistol ammo. I ran around a bit more and found the secret stash areas. Then I played again on Normal and the direction ma...

altered marines sprites

So I'm working on a simple project that is inspired by a Marathon 1 scenario called Marauder Second Encounter. That old scenario brings in marine sprites and includes them as allies. It also supplies a physics model to use those marines as enemies in a deathmatch environment and includes a deathmatc...

Re: Looking for feedback

I played through on normal. What is the purpose of having this level set to rebellion other than a little extra challenge punching some pfhor fighters before reaching the 1x charger and pistol? I didn't read anything in the terminal giving story reason for this. What's up with the cargo and why is t...

Re: Can't play Marathon :(

The only thing I can think of is there might be something wonky in your preferences file. Make a backup of the preferences which is located along side the aleph one application then delete the original preference file. You'll have to reprogram key bindings, graphic settings, etc... but could solve t...

Re: Siege of Nor'Korh - Stuck on Hellraiser

Thanks for your response. This scenario was the first scenario mod to any Marathon game I ever played but back then I never finished it. I'm going to move on to Devil in a Blue Dress since that's the other scenario I always meant to play through. Sure is nice to breath Marathon again.

Alterations to default weapon sprites

I wanted to modify some of the M23 weapon sprites while staying fairly close to their original appearance. Particularly the pistol, assault rifle, and rocket launcher. The original pistol sprites mostly have had their scopes neatened up. For the other two I pulled the HD weapon sprites from the Comm...

Siege of Nor'Korh - Stuck on Hellraiser

I downloaded Siege of Nor'Korh from the archives and have made it to the last level but can't figure out where to go next. I've made it to the large cylindrical room with S'pht compilers. The branching doors in that room are higher than I can reach and I don't know what to do next. *Edit* So I disco...

Marathon 2 was my jam when I was a kid learning about computers on the Macintosh Performa 6200 my parents bought. I tinkered some with editing physics models and a little map making on both Marathon 1 & 2. I was floored when I found out that the original Marathon 1 files are supported under AlephOne...
