My first idea is simply that there are a large number of excellent scenarios out there for which there is either no information or vastly out-of-date information. I've always felt it rather regrettable that nothing like the Story Page exists for scenarios like Rubicon and Eternal, or (to a much less...

Once upon a time, Irons and I were working on a thing that would be a narrated (and summarized) version of the in-game events, punctuated by terminal texts at the appropriate point, plus "Director's Commentary" about the development of the game. Perhaps rolling that (maybe minus the director's comm...

In December of '06 I wrote a long email to Pfhorrest listing various feedback pertaining to this scenario and he responded to it point-by-point. I completely forgot about it for over a year due to being distracted with school and other problems, but I really should really should respond to it now th...

Most of the people I play against are from Fool's Gold, which is my own board; a few others are from various other boards I've visited over the years. I also used to play a lot of games the old-school way on local networks, though it's been a long time since I was able to set up one of those. And ye...

I mostly play net games with people on another forum. One of these days I'll have to get onto games here. granted, I'm not saying I'm a superb net player. I usually get so focused on one aspect of the game that I completely block out everything else, and I've seldom played in games with more than tw...

OK, you stay out of net game discussions from now on. Looks like you don't even know what a net game is. Like I said, it's since been revised. That said, the high ammo count actually added quite a bit of strategy because seeing what ammo had just been picked up would enable you to determine where o...

What in the world map is this? Remakes of Acme Station and "Breathing Nothing At All" from Rubicon where all the windows are open, and where I added quite a few windows to the ones that already exist. screenshot of the BNAA remake: it's been revised somewhat since then though. Except even if you're...

I assume you mean for a long-range attack, in which case this is arguably true for any weapon. True enough but it's vastly more so for the SPNKR, since it's a one-hit-kill weapon. Though it's easier to react to the SPNKR firing than a lot of other weapons, so there's a tradeoff. Except any weapon i...

True enough on the lag when you get to point-blank range, but I hit opponents more often than not, unless they fire first, in which case they almost always hit me. as for the SPNKR, it's only useless if the target notices it's coming and isn't so close to a wall that they can't get away. (I've been ...

At point-blank range, a single shotgun blast will kill a player with red shields. That said, the SPNKR is obviously a better long-range weapon, but it has the flaw that by the time a rocket reaches its destination, a smart player will already have gotten out of the way. At medium range I'd rank them...

...but they're already gritty looking. The top two are kind of, the rest aren't really. At least, not nearly as gritty as the ones in the standard replacement textures folder. Nevertheless, for your info: Step 1. merge visible, command-j, set palette colors to B&W, clouds, layer display mode > over...
