Re: Solo Lua to print the current tick upon level completion

init has the same problem. This makes it hard to debug errors that occur at init, and I hate it. You can try something not unlike what I posted: have a variable initially set to false, check if it's still false in idle, print if false, and set it to true after the check. It should thus only be true ...

Re: Solo Lua to print the current tick upon level completion

When you say "completed," do you mean "when all mission objectives are complete" or do you mean "when the player exits the level?" Because the trigger you chose fires during the latter time frame. This means you'll probably never see the message, because the level will end. You might want something ...

I don't think I've made one of these for eight or nine years. Don't take it personally. Just a trip down memory lane.

Re: Aleph One 1.3a1: testers wanted

Nope, don't plan to either. Want to know why? 1) The PowerMac G5 was the world's first commercially available 64-bit computer. It's a piece of history sitting on my desk. There's no way I'm going to throw it out just because some ass tells me so. 2) The best era for Mac gaming was the mid-90s to ea...

Re: Aleph One 1.3a1: testers wanted

Thanks for the clarification. Note that this preference does not affect network game behavior at all, unless that changed since 2008. Picking up a weapon with higher priority than your current one will almost always force you to switch. If memory serves correctly, this is because the game risks goi...

Re: Aleph One 1.3a1: testers wanted

3. ----- Disabling auto-switch weapons doesn't work in singleplayer. When the rounds of my pistol or AR deplete, I still fall back on another weapon I thought that setting just meant that when you pick up a new weapon, the game doesn't automatically switch you to holding that weapon against your wi...

Thomas Mann's Greatest Hits v7.0

It's been about five years in the making, and now TMGH is complete. To indulge your kabbalistic needs : 7 polygons * 7 levels * 7 versions = 343 polygons. There's a little bit of everything: solid duels, massive deathmatches, off-the-wall KOTH, some innovative Ball games, and even a CTF map. It's be...

Re: Aleph One 1.3a1: testers wanted

I asked treellama about 300 years ago (c. 2007) if he'd consider including the CTF script with Aleph One, even going so far as asking him to replace the actual CTF functionality with it. Although I understand why he rejected this proposal, I honestly think my reasoning was more sound than including ...
