As I'm picking up on the Marathon texture project, I want to know where I can find an app that can deal with .dds format files. I'm considering the choice of converting any textures I make into dds files.

If you're using a Mac, might I recommend Aorta--the author is a stand-up guy! :)

If you're in Windows, the new nvidia texture tools should do the trick, but they are much more difficult to figure out than Aorta, which is basically pre-setup for Aleph One.

Maybe a Windows version of Aorta would be useful...

Well, since I'm a Mac user (and I'm on my Mac Mini I got for Xmas), I'll shoot for Aorta then. Thanks

IrfanView works for Windows (or Linux I think).
