I know you can merge a shapes patch into a level, but what if those shapes need custom sounds? I tried making a sounds patch, but it didn't work. Can merging sounds be done at all?

Can Aleph One be improved to allow this?

Treellama tells it like it is.

I do not believe aleph one can be improved for this, however, you can embed scripts into your maps. Maybe you can make custom sounds play from a predefined directory.
I do not know if that is possible however.

DADDY Z3RO already said it can't be done. Try reading the thread a little bit more in the future, tl.

W'rk..... Just shut up, you aren't making anyone laugh.

I said that because i believed that it would be too difficult/impossible to alter the engine much more than where it is now.
I was incorrect, Treellama corrected me.
END OF STORY.

Maybe he wasn't trying to make anybody laugh; maybe he was trying to make a point: don't make assertions unless you have at least some basis for knowing what you're talking about. Of course, in that vein, I don't really know what he was trying to say, so maybe he'll respond again.

Correct. Most of the time when I'm being a dick, I'm also trying to make a point. Making fun of Iritscen was just for fun though.

It's ok, w'rk.
I don't stay upset at anybody for long, in hindsight, that was rather funny.

And to make everybody super happy:
