What game are you currently trying to complete?

Chat and discussion not related to either Marathon or Aleph One. Please keep things at least mildly interesting, though.

Quakes nice, but I like building stuff.
Plus I Play Urban Terror also....so Quake mods run in my blood somewhat.

Idk, just personal preference I suppose.

NetHack.

Seriously, try to beat it. High scores are easy. Finishing is like taking a tire iron to the head. Over and over again.
I am not allowed to log in unless I am logged in. WTF.
You are wrong. Not 2.5. Five.

Also I am not dead.

There isn't really anything on my list that needs completing, unless you count second go rounds. and if thats the case, here is my list

Halo 3: trying to get the Ascetic helmet for my Elite.
DOA4: beating time attack mode with all characters so i can get all costumes and the hidden character, Tengu.
Oblivion: trying to get another lvl 50 Character. My Pally is kinda gettin' boring.
Infinity: don't remember the 'story' to well. going back.
Eternal:no reason.
Orange Box: beating Episode one and two of Half-life2

I'm currently not trying to beat Diablo 2 and Quake 3 Arena. In Diablo 2, I got all the way to Diablo's hell fortress and took out everyone except those ugly fat demons that breathe fire. I was the necromancer, and primarily relied on my golems to take everyone out... but the fire breath owns my clay golems so I'm kinda screwed. Im beating it again with my brother with the barbarian (whos quite simply raping ass with double swing).

I also gave up on beating Xaero on Quake... hes just too damn good with the railgun. I've seen people online take him out on nightmare and only die once, but that involves camping.
Marathon RED - Given Up
What part are you having trouble with? I haven't exactly beaten the whole thing without cheating, but most of it really isn't that hard (the last levels are as easy as crap)

Alpha-152 is a bitch-and-a-half.

Charge him with the shotgun or the rocket launcher. Don't stop to aim with longer-range weapons (like you said, he just drills you with the rail gun) just use area-effect weapons on him. If you're having trouble because he beats you out score wise, just keep blasting him off the stage until he has a larger negative score than you and then start killing him.

Games I'm trying to complete:
Xenogears
Wild Arms 2
Parasite Eve
Parasite Eve 2
Threads of Fate
The Pf'hak - Read it.
Science technology jargon physics.

I'm playing Riven (Aka Myst 2). I'm not getting very far...
$lave

I have Myst, Riven, Exile and Revelation, but, sadly, the first two don't work on this computer, and my saved file for Exile (which I was pretty far in) is on another computer, and I would have to find that computer, then set it up and send the file to this computer to play Exile again, or restart from the beginning... which doesn't appeal to me, but I may do it anyway.

Oh ho ho, you guys are talking about myst? Thats one of my favorite game franchises besides Marathon. Raped all of the games, though [MFrown]

Not to mention that I can't even play myst III because for some reason it won't run on my Power PC mac [MFrown]

EDIT: Alan, that shouldn't take you very long...

Games being incompatible on a Mac, oh gee whiz, how often does that happen?
Sorry I'm just kinda sick of Macintosh people giving windows shit.
Well ha!

Anyway, I beat AC4A with a SS rank!

Myst III runs on a mac. I own it for the mac.
Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

Oh, it works on my emac, just not my macpro. I could always play it on my old crappy emac, but my old tower is so much better, with good speakers and stuff, perfect for myst [MTongue]

Anyway, I'm not really trying to complete any games right now, but i have recently completed Resident Evil 4, Metroid: Zero Mission and EMR.
