Yeah, I'm fine with it. I doubt I'd do much (if anything) more than deleting spam, which I think was the idea. It doesn't seem like a terribly exhausting task, and I'm around here enough anyway.

I may start banning people for no reason and forcing people to host my maps all the time, but that probably won't happen for at least a week.

Well, I guess it's more probably not. Seems like a good idea, I need to check out the available permissions settings. Unfortunately, the best methods of removing spam ( with email and ip bans if they fit a pattern, mass deletion of users posts/topiucs ) require strong admin powers.

I had figured I'm here often enough, and that I could delete spam as easily as report it; but I understand your concerns.

If you find some acceptable compromise let me know.

The best method is to require email registration.

But, what's wrong with the strong admin powers methods? I trust $lave, at least for the first week.

Spam can be kept out if you make a subforum called "activate posting", which is the only forum new members can post in. A moderator/admin will give members who make an introduction post there the power to post in the other forums.

Pros:
no spam in other parts of the pfhorums
spam can be deleted once a month since it will only be present in the activate posting thread
a human mind will determine who is worthy to post
members who register just to read will not be effected

Cons:
An admin/mod must edit members settings to give them the right permissions. Personally I don't think it will be a burden judging on how few posting members the pfhorums get.
