Texture tiling program
Is there any freeware program which I can use to tile textures so I can use them in A1? I dont really want to pay $30-40 for some program that I'll use once or twice.

Uhhh... photoshop torrent?
No application automatically texturizes things and produces high quality results, but you can do it manually in photoshop and get them.

Try http://gimp.org
And Photoshop costs a lot more than 30-40 dollars.

Here's a link to some free texture software: free software
This site includes a free texture viewer and a free program called Bricks'n'Tiles. I haven't really looked at these though, but I though they might be useful.

Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

I got gimp working on my mac G5 with OS 10 tiger real easily. You need to make sure you have X-11 installed first. That is included somewhere in your original operating software CD's then use the OSX installer
