Posting my entire flashback today. I'm not going to have access to marathon for a year into the foreseeable future and therefore I felt it my duty to do my part for the story after so briefly inflicting myself upon it before.

The new guy's arrival at the med bay is chronologically out of sync. The handing-out of vials happened while Preston et al were gathering food, a while ago; the end of my post (getting ready to fight) corresponds to when the troopers first start firing.

If we can figure out what happened at the med bay between then and now, why we didn't run out to help you guys and are still in the med bay when you get there a while later, then it works up through Preston's arrival. But one way or another Virael isn't going to walk in on Summer handing out antigens as that already happened while he was still strapped to a gurney.

Excellent post, Dugit; I had earlier wanted to have the vivisection scene be wrought with a bit more feeling, but kind of glanced over it for expediency's sake in my own post. I'm glad that you decided to dwell on it. I really wanted to see different characters' reactions to one of our merciless enemies being coldly turned inside-out while still alive - both what characters would think about poor Pthuac, and also about Summer for doing it to him.

However, there's a couple of incongruities in your post. Euth writes that Summer treated his wounds; she didn't, that was Doc MacLeary. I suppose he could be confused about that, but I want to make sure you're not. Also, he seems to overhear Simon's introduction to Robert, which occurred away at the cafe well out of ear shot of anyone. I suppose a similar conversation might have happened in the med bay as someone else was introduced to Robert (and someone remarked on him having the same last name as Simon), but again, just want to make sure you're clear on it.
