Usually, 90 degrees in Marathon is facing south; however, when Bungie programmed Marathon 2, they decided to use the angle for liquids to indicate the source of the current. So a current at 90 degrees is coming from the south. He has finally conceded that he needs to make an angle widget.
Thankyou.

I love Weland just from reading this topic, can't wait till it's finished. I do have a few suggestions though.

First, while the cursor is above an Object, (Item, Spawn point, whatever) Can you show a small radius around the object to indicate how big the object is in-game? As it would be very convenient for me.

Second, can you make the blue dots on the grid (don't remember what they are called.) easier to see? their are almost impossible to see in my opinion.

And finally third, Can you please make it so the undo button doesn't undo your last undo? It's freakin' annoying. If I wanted to redo stuff, I would press the redo button to redo my last undo.

I agree with Miak on that undo button thing. It would be great to have undo and redo, and no undoing your undoes, and redoing your redoes.

There is no redo button. Undoing your undo is the same as a redoing your undo.

Exactly. If I want to undo two things in a row, I can't. It would be easier if there was an infinitely functioning undo button and an infinitely functioning redo button, relative to the amount of times you've undone. If, at this stage, I want to undo two things in a row, it will first undo the first thing, then redo it. That's annoying.

IIRC multilevel undo was dropped in favor of features such as lights, liquids and filling polygons.

If you feel the need to undo many times you're probably just as well to delete what you're wishing to undo.

Meh. It would just be slightly more convenient if there was multilevel undo, but, seeming from what you've said, it's impossible. That's OK.

Yes, but what about those "Whoops, I pressed delete instead of enter with half the map selected, and then moved a point so now I have to revert to a save 20 minutes ago" times? I know that users should be smart and save frequently, but that doesn't always happen. The old Appleworks programs had the same problem, and it was quite possibly the most annoying thing that I have ever encountered in a program (that wasn't a glitch and wasn't from Extreme Paintbrawl).

Yeah, that's a bugger when that happens. I had to completely remake the second half of Sapphires of Slaughter because saving slipped my mind, and I did the same thing. God, I'm an idiot.

You'd also have to be pretty retarded to move a point after accidentally deleting half your level. "Oh shit, I didn't want to delete those 8 polygons. But, if I adjust this point a little to the north, it'll look much better."

This new multilevel function must be added for when Gmanyo does that.

I have been tinkering around with Weland for a while now (running flawlessly on Windows 7, by the way). While I doubt that anything I make will be playable, it does give me an excuse to learn how to use the decidedly very sexy visualmode.lua.

I've been doing well trying to create a level, although I've hit a tiny bump in the road, every time I try to create a polygon inside an already existing room, after I create the polygon, I can't use the Fill polygon tool on the room.

I can't decide if this is just a glitch, or just me being an idiot.
Here's a screenshot of what I'm saying:

What I was trying to do here was to create two tables on opposite sides of the room. [MOh]

It's a simple error. You can't have polygons with reflex angles (pointing inward), or a polygon with more than eight vertices. If you have the two tables in the room, you now have the two tables as two polygons, and a third polygon (the rest of the room) that you are trying to fill that you can't actually fill. Divide the polygon up, using the parameters I said at the beginning.

Dugit

I still can't get it working. [MErr]

Anyway, is that limitation because of Weland or just the Marathon Engine itself?

Try dividing the room like I have below. It's just an example, though. All it needs is no inward reflex angles or plus-eight vertices.
