I can't seem to find any editors for Aleph One files. Could anyone suggest a good application?
What kind of editor are you looking for?
Can't speel for hist.
As a future note to anyone who stumbles across this thread and wants to ask a similar question (unlikely, since no one actually searches before posting...), take note of what I ask here and supply answers ahead of time so we don't have to go through this run-around:
Amish, which operating system(s) are you using? What kinds of files are you trying to edit? Are you aware that Aleph One's files are just like Marathon Infinity's files, so editors for that game work equally well on A1 stuff? Did you search or look through other threads in this section?

So if I use an emulator to run Forge and Anvil on Windows, I can edit/create sceA and phyA extension files respectively?
Forge might not be able to detect them because the Mac OS file type information resides on the file's resource fork, which gets lost if it's on another computer. However, you can still open an existing map file by dragging and dropping it onto the Forge application icon. Physics aren't so easy, and you'll have to file-type them manually if you want to open ones that have resided outside of a Mac filesystem. I don't think that'll be a huge problem, though.

If you have ResEdit, you can open physics/map files and using "get file/folder" info change the file type to "sceâ??" or "phyâ??". I've done that a few times to edit Aleph One map files.

You can send PMs by going to My Controls, in the bar at the top which says "Logged in as: proslaviy ( Log Out )". From there, clock Compose New Message.proslaviy wrote:Hi, how I can send PM?
You really should have created a new topic instead of posting in an old one which bears no resemblance to the topic you are asking about.

if youre running winshit and have created a HFS-image to store your mac files for using an emulator (you probably have), then you could use "HFSExplorer" to do something like changing the creator/type infos of any file located on HFS-images, as far as i remember. what you definitively can do is copying files from/to your HFS-image to your HD. just google "hfsexplorer", im sure youll find something.$lave wrote:If you have ResEdit, you can open physics/map files and using "get file/folder" info change the file type to "sce∞" or "phy∞". I tried to look through old threads and the wiki, but couldnt get a definite answer.
What Id like to know is that are there any Playstation games that can be played with psx4gp2x on a playable speed?

Here is a website that I designed for bad credit payday loans company.
Not to sound like a DOUCHE, but you might get a better answer somewhere other than here.gloryforixseal wrote:What Id like to know is that are there any Playstation games that can be played with psx4gp2x on a playable speed?

I don't know, maybe you should try a board dedicated to topics like this instead of a board for Marathon. I know you have an extra chromosome or two but if you actually found this place I'm sure you could get back on Google and find a board appropriate to ask your question on. You can do that, right? I'm sure you can, come on, we'll spasm elbows on it.gloryforixseal wrote:I tried to look through old threads and the wiki, but couldnt get a definite answer.

Anyway, here's a full list of apps I recommend:Hostile Amish wrote:I can't seem to find any editors for Aleph One files. Could anyone suggest a good application?
Windows:
Obed (even though it's for M2 only)
Shapefusion
PhysicsEditorOneJ
Mac OS X:
Pfhorge (VERY dodgy) OR Marathup
Shapefusion
PhysicsEditorOneJ
Mac OS Classic:
Forge
Anvil
Wail
On the whole, you should get Mac OS 9. Forge and Anvil are like brothers and sisters. Wail is better for editing sounds.
Toshiba Dynabook Satellite PAG4510PME
Windows XP Home Edition + Service Pack 3 (Japanese)
40GB HDD
512MB RAM
Still in full working condition....

There is already a list of Marathon Utilities located here
I put up that list just in case the person who started this topic didn't know that link.Lawstiker wrote:There is already a list of Marathon Utilities located here
