It's not finished?
First, while the cursor is above an Object, (Item, Spawn point, whatever) Can you show a small radius around the object to indicate how big the object is in-game? As it would be very convenient for me.
That would involve adding the ability to read physics models, which I don't intend to do.
please[/b] make it so the undo button doesn't undo your last undo? It's freakin' annoying. If I wanted to redo stuff, I would press the redo button to redo my last undo.
This is the correct behavior for a single level undo.

I think he means that's when it's updated with the stuff we've been talking about (bar mulitlevel undo).

didn't you say once upon a time, TL, that you were going to compile it into a standalone, so you dint need GTK#? I mean, this is jsut off of my memory.

Where did I say that?

You will need to install GTK# (in Windows) or the Mono Framework (Mac OS X) for the foreseeable future.

Why? Who cares? Enough programs use those frameworks that it's not like installing one is a huge hardship. It just takes two steps to install the thing instead of one.

Not the effort; the novelty.

Really? Weland is the only application I use that uses MonoFramework.

Now, sure. Weland is the only application I use that uses GTK#. At one point I only needed .NET Framework for one program.

That's likely to change though, don't you think?

A framework (either Mono or .NET) is required to run any C# programs--much like Java programs require a runtime.

In tha future, we'll have frameworks in our brain, and we'll be able to see the computer screen in our eyes, and we will have mechanized gun-arms, and we'll all speak binary and be half-virtual.

I finally tried out Weland yesterday for the first time. Great job!!! I didn't have to relearn the basics of map-making since Weland is so much like Forge. Thanks for bringing map-making to all of us who can't use Forge.

I am new to mapping, so please don't make fun of my questions for Weland (I just downloaded it yesterday):

1) What exactly is an invalid polygon? Please explain.

2) How do I make sure that a polygon I am trying to make can be filled in?

3) How do I make doors?

4) How do i create ceilings and upper levels?

I tried to search in the FAQs for Forge, but they were all advanced techniques (which doesn't help). I can't download the Forge/Anvil manuals either because I'm running Windows.

1+2) Polygons need to have a) no more than 8 vertices and b) no inward angles greater than 180 degrees / outward angles lesser than 180 degrees. If it doesn't comply with one or both of these, It'll either not fill at all or fill orange- then get rid of it and find the problem.

3) Polygon Types > Platform > Platform Parameters

4) Floor Heights/Ceiling Heights (in the vertical toolbar)

Thanks. Now, I'm assuming that terminals are only able to be edited with something like Atque (sorry about the extra question, my map is SP).

I don't know how to terminal write. Could someone fill us both in?

Come on now, Windows can't read PDFs?

Yes, Windows can read PDFs (at least XP can, I have not used any others), I just never found that site. It definitely solves my mapmaking problems.

Weland 1.1.1 on SourceForge fixes some crashes related to "Show Hidden Vertices", and should now handle platform switches correctly.
