I guess this goes here...

When exporting some AIFF files from wail, the some of the final exports are cut off at the end. Even weirder, the beginnings of a few of the other ones string together more beginnings of sounds in super long sprees of 'thon noises.

What other sound tools are there for this, besides wail?

All you want to do is export sounds?

How about Anvil, or ShapeFusion?

I wouldn't do it that way. Try copy and paste into Quicktime Pro (that's what I use) or audacity, and export from those. Seems a longer process, but it's worth it. Trying to imjport and export from wail sucks.

An alternate solution would be to point the computers speakers to a microphone on another computer. Then you play the sound you want, and it will record on the other computer.

ok, i try to open a sound file in Shapefusion and
20:16:28: [ShapesDocument] Could not find enough collections. This may not be a Marathon Shapes file.
20:16:28: [ShapesDocument] There was an error while loading, see log
Anvil wont even take them. I cant seem to get any aleph one stuff into the original editors. the classic stuff works fine. I need to get something out of M1, and the classic tools wont even do that, so i would use shapefusion and get what I want out of M1A1, but it doesnt take sounds!

When you open a sounds file, you have to tell it you're opening a sounds file. Pick it from the menu in the file browser.
