Come on. The Large Hadron Collider won't destroy the universe. It can't produce nearly enough energy to do that. The only threat with the LHC is it creating a stable black hole capable of destroying the Earth and possibly the solar system. We all know (and if you don't, why are you on a Marathon forum) the universe will end on September 21, 15193794896 AD (CE, whatever) in a "big crunch".

me unhappy[edit] the universe won't end in a big crunch. sorry Durandal. It's not heavy enough to do that, although recent observations of type Ia supernovae reveal it's expansion may not be accelerating.
