I haven't toyed with Aorta 1.2 for quite awhile, but now that I want to launch it, it quits instantly. Is there an alternative app I can download to which to view and/or edit DDS files? I'm running the latest Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my 2007 Mac Mini with factory specs.

The latest version of Aorta is 2.1; try that one maybe? You can find all the releases on its SourceForge files page.

Maybe the universe is trying to tell us something through error messages.Hopper wrote:The latest version of Aorta is 2.1; try that one maybe? You can find all the releases on its SourceForge files page.

A case sensitive file system is hardly factory spec. You had to go way out of your way to cause this much trouble for yourself!
It might take me a while to get around to fixing Aorta, so your best bet is to reformat your drive with sane file system options. Plus that way you'll avoid trouble with other apps.

Actually, I was launching Aorta off from an external USB harddrive. If a case sensitive is giving me all this much trouble, then damnit! To reformat the drive is a pain, unless of course I could probably install Aorta directly onto my computer's native HD, maybe that would prevent such a crash from happening I guess. Still I preferred to have all my stuff on an external.Treellama wrote:A case sensitive file system is hardly factory spec. You had to go way out of your way to cause this much trouble for yourself!
