Hey guys I was looking for some help for hosting Marathon games. I am Using an Apple Airport Extreme. When I port map on the Apple Airport Utility 5.6 I put in this info: Public UDP ports I put in 4226 and the same for the TCP ports. when I gather a network game and others join It doesn't show the security officers like it normally does. Did I do something wrong? Oh and don't give me the port forwarding website I did everything there and it does not work :/
Thanks, Waffles.
HALP! Hosting Marathon Games!!!
Maybe your firewall is blocking those ports? Try adding Aleph One to the list of allowed applications.

How do I do that I'm using airport utility 5.6treellama wrote: Try adding Aleph One to the list of allowed applications.
If I remember right, it's not the utility that you use to add applications to the list, you have to get into your actual router software to do it.
Don't listen to listener! Going that route makes you vulnerable to, viruses!

Really? Crap. I didn't realize that.

In addition to your router, you need to add Aleph One to your local firewall. On the Mac, that is in Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Firewall. Click on Firewall Options, then click the plus sign, and add Aleph One.
It will not make you (more) vulnerable to viruses.

Then that means that it's not your firewall that's blocking Alephone, if it's turned off...
