Hello. I'm RichardKirisame.

I started Marathon about 2 months ago.
... So, I'm a "Raw recruit"?
But, so what? Slice "raw" fish is very delicious.

... What am I saying? I have to cool down my (blank) brain...

I playing Marathon in Japanese ver.
But I hardly play in online.
I don't have internet environment.

... But I want a lot of hints to survive in Marathon! (The Truth is that I've never cleared Marathon...)
So, I registered this forums. (oops, this is Pfhorums! Sorry...)

Sorry for poor (Phfor?) English...

(I can't use saved data. It seems corrupt. I think this is main reason why I can't survive...)

... Yeah, I know this is old-fassion.

I don't get any error message. But when I going to resume,

Resume as (no valid option)

And click [OK], back to title.
There. And endless roop.

It seems D.C. (musical sign. Not Japanese "Ero-game". You can understand if you can read score.)

Here. There is "Aleph One J".
Actually, this is binaly file to display Japanese on terminal.
AlephOne Win version cause misconversion when read terminal in Japanese.
Then, Saiten (who made the binaly) try to display Japanese.

But, there are some inconvenient things.
First. Can't use OpenGL. Automatically switch to software draw.
Second. Crab. Yeah, crab. When terminal text include Tab character, display "Crab" in Kanji character.
Like this. ->蟹
Can you see this?
Last. Unfair terminate in some map. Marathon Infinity Option level 29 "Carrol Street Station". This is it.
When end of this level, get to terminal to finish, and terminate.

Still there are problem in this binaly.

Oh, G4 Sunbathing is annoying! In the central pillar, there is a room with a very narrow hallway, and that hallway leads to a room with an oxygen panel. I go there about every two minutes, I'm very paranoid about running out of oxygen.

Most of us can definitely see the Kanji characters, even on English-based systems. There may be a small number of people in the Pfhorums that are from Japan (some of the legendary players from years ago were Japanese), although I don't know how many are active now. I'm wondering if any will respond in Japanese...

Alas, most of us are not familiar with Aleph One J, so here's one question I would like to ask:

Does your problem happen with the English version of Aleph One 1.0.2?

If so, then there is a chance we can help you. If not, then you might have to contact the original developer of Aleph One J.

P.S. Thank you for reminding us that this is the 2nd anniversary of the tsunami. Since you are from Iwate Prefecture, it must have your hometown hard. We will remember the victims of this tragedy.

I don't have any fatal problems when I play Marathon in latest engine.
But I forgot that I'm silly. I installed Japanese data, first. So, terminal has mis disguised.

I must install English data...

Actually, I live in inland city.
Therefore I must work for victim of tsunami.

Oh, of course, Touhou. No, she's a game character...

If your wondering how I know about Touhou, it's because of a Youtube channel that had music from it (Touhou: Imperishable Night). I don't actually know a whole lot, just that it's some shooter with girls in it with some pretty interesting music.
