Texturing is about 10% done in Brave New World (my map). I don't know if I'll have it all textured by New Year's, given my current work schedule, but I'll try hard.

Ok, crudelitas should be much more doable now. It was a tough one indeed :S (I got comments that my level was too easy prev year, so i thought, not this time...)

-The ledges in the room that contains poly 832 experience some kind of "solid wall" glitch; I don't think they're flagged as such, which is weird. If they are, I was still able to shoot the Cyborgs from the ground with pistols. In retrospect, those ledges were flagged as solid, which is peculiar, because I was able to shoot the Cyborgs anyway. But that's still stupid. Why are they flagged solid? There is no reason for that; they just get in the way and make the level more frustrating.


yes... of course? Isnt it stupid to walk through a fence?

Can someone make a .sit version of the latest shapes installers (those which installed fences)?
I never got around to get the fences myself.

Dric, am I correct if I say that the solid areas on crudelitas are fences? If that is so, ryoko and I don't see the fences since we don't have them in our shapesfile.

There's a fence there? It didn't look like a fence to me. I didn't see anything.

I know ryoko. Neither you or me have the latest shapesfile. We cannot see the fences.

Im asking this again, can someone who have the latest installers(or shapesfiles), compress them with .sit, and send the .sit file to me?

Got some more progress done tonight. I think I'm hovering at about 50% completed... I don't know if I'll finish it tomorrow before I go to work, but I'll try.

Anyway, here's a picture for you.



At some point there will be snowdrifts outside, through the windows, and you'll be able to see other parts of the facility (it's no longer a tower), but I haven't done the exterior in the interest of keeping Forge alive whilst I map.

after the hack it seems that appleswitch has put an extra care in security here. So if i am correct i think you'll need to zip/sit your file to be available to upload it. If that doesn't work, just mail goran or upload it to an ftp somewhere or something similiar.

- Platform 737 could be faster
- Safe Terminal near polygon 98 is non working.
- What's up with the water forcefield at the platform close to polygon 556 which seems to be only in place when the switch at polygon 429 hasn't been pushed?

Compliment: I liked finding out the secret at polygon 615, thought it was well done... :)

Overall: From my testing the level seems ok, and if there are any other errors and things that could go better out there i guess Ryoko has already pointed them out.

I'm still here. Deadline's extended huh? Sorry, life got in the way. Still have ice wind sounds, and a couple other things if you want 'em, but it looks like you might do just as well without having the sound patcher, at this point.
That being said, I'm still available to debug maps and do some sound work on the maps themselves. Or give you the sounds, for that matter, if you want 'em.

Map update: texturing, items, and monsters have been placed. Tonight I'll probably get sounds done. Drictlet, if/when you do send along the newest shapes to goran, please send it as a patcher. I'm going to do monster sequences tonight or tomorrow, and I don't want to have to do them again.

Question: would it be possible to get new landscapes? Something that's snowy and gray to fit in with the snowy environment? The Lh'owon skies just don't match well.

Update: Anvil is being fussy and not allowing the right color of blue to work, so I'm just going to add in a dark gray/black color table and leave the current gray ones in.

ryoko which anvil do you use?

For editing colortables:

anvil 1.0 works good
anvil 2.0 works like shit
anvil 3.0 works good if you disbale color safety checking

If nothing else, I can edit in paleblue colortables later on.

I'm using 1.0.3b, because I'm too lazy to put Hakvil on the emulator. Anyway, the black dress looks pretty sweet. You can do whatever you wish afterwards, but I'm using black and not gray for my level.

There's 2.0 and 3.0? I don't ever recalled this.
