It's called "stasis"

Well I put this topic up so it helped with making it less of a "stasis" for now. It helped cause mudcrabs.

I ate’nt dead. I’ve just been avoiding making more small “we’re still making progress on WMAiD” announcements, because they serve a lot less purpose with a closed-end project when there’s nothing for people to play or look at, and I’ve put Chronicles on the back burner until some WMAiD stuff is complete. (I actually do have some major changes to Chronicles, but I can’t honestly recall what all I’ve done since my last update, and I’m not particularly satisfied with the current state of one of the levels, but it will take a fair deal more work before I’m happy with it.)

To that end, there will hopefully be major WMAiD news in the near future (we’re aiming for late January/early February, but no promises). To be clear, we’re not anywhere close to ready to release the complete project, but I don’t think people are liable to be disappointed by the news, either.

Other than that, I don’t know how much people here would be interested in hearing me ramble about Zelda randomizers, political news, or music, so I don’t usually make off-topic posts on those subjects (and I probably wouldn’t be interested in engaging in political debates at this stage anyhow – I just don’t have the patience).
“People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.” —V, V for Vendetta (Alan Moore)

“The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist: a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain. If you can’t lick ’em, join ’em. If it hurts, repeat it. But to praise despair is to condemn delight, to embrace violence is to lose hold of everything else. We have almost lost hold; we can no longer describe happy man, nor make any celebration of joy.” —Ursula K. Le Guin, “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”

“If others had not been foolish, we should be so.” —William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell

I've been doing a text LP of the Halo 1 mod/fan remake SPV3 on the Story Page, inspired by Viking Boy Billy's coverage of the original Halo's PC port, while I'm waiting for his first of the failure planks in Eternal's Tour of Duty to be posted.

Currently it covers The Pillar of Autumn to the Truth and Reconciliation. (the latter posted tonight)

Stage 0: The Discovery (Pillar of Autumn opening cutscene and vanilla Halo 1 tutorial section)

Stage 1: The Pillar of Autumn

Stage 2: Halo (accidentally misnamed it Stage 3 due to a typo)
http://forums.bungie.org/story/?noframes;read=72518

Stage 3: The Truth and Reconciliation (Named as "Stage 3 (Proper)" due to the aforementioned typo)

Here's a primer on the Halo franchise as a whole to bring people up to speed on the events prior to Halo 1. WARNING: Don't read the primers if you want to avoid major spoilers, but there's no guarantee they won't appear in the Mini Tour of Duty itself.

Primer Circle 2: http://forums.bungie.org/story/?noframes;read=72493

Primer Circle 3: http://forums.bungie.org/story/?noframes;read=72495

I posted about this in another Chat thread, but I decided to share it on this one too to aid in the irrigation efforts. The original thread was posted before Stages 2 and 3 were done.

This place just got lively all of a sudden. Guess that "You ask it, you get it" is a true statement for some points.

Speaking of which, I can recommend a good metal band with Marathon esque music called Amaranthe.

While the lyrics are largely coincidental, it still got me thinking:

The Nexus (Could be a theme for Marcus Jones and the other Battleroids, including the ones at the Asteroid Wars)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxOybZcRXhI

Transhuman (ditto)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAVqRb9PhdE

Automatic (not sure, could be for any Rampant AI dreaming of metastability)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ4bMYgwaAA

Invincible (Marcus specifically, especially going by the KYT/Eternal X terminal and things Durandal says about him during the trilogy)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnY8C77EQKU

Theory of Everything (could be a good Durandal theme)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQtSEES9ljY

Enter the Maze (possible idea for a PID song, especially when talking to the dead?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGI3LIh9uhM

Infinity (Possible alternate theme to Eternal X and Infinity?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sYlUdyJCx0

Digital World (Not strictly reminding me of Marathon, but it's awesome enough it deserves a mention)

Off-Topic -> I'm working on a 3DS horror game that involves child torture and surviving screaming babies. Based of Zentriert ins Antlitz's album "Mutilate".

EDIT: Or if it's too much then.. I can just stop?
