Anyone play Doom3? I like that disentagrating effect that happens when you kill a demon, that would be a cool death effect for a laser

For me, I beleive its a cheep effect to keep the poly count minimal in the maps (for doom). They do the same thing in quake 4 (same engine). I felt that they should of utilized physics alot more, even though they had some ridged body physics.

Rubicon has a weapon similar to what youre talking about, the alien rifle? its reealy cool, it shoots thoes pulsa lazer photon things that desinigrates animals in a statiky fun effect
